(((Hugs))) Valli and everyone missing someone.

OH is making the scrambled eggs, Kelpie has had his Kong and is very calm and happy, lodgers are on the move, neighbours on their way, all's well with the world.

    Poppet's first Christmas. How exciting!
    Better is good enough.
  • Morning all,

    Merry Christmas!

    Children were up at 4.30am.

Other than that, it's been a lovely day so far, everyone happy with pressies.
I'd best get cooking, our friend is joining us for dinner, he has no family at all so we always ask him.

Thank you very much for the secret santa, it is very useful for me, my hands do not get looked after at all, and they are currently suffering from too much diy!

I had a bath in our new large bath this morning, it was lovely.

Valli, I hope you have some smiles today, it must be very hard.
Same to Katiecat, and I am needless to say thinking of CY's family. The girls got Harry Potter dressing up stuff, and this made me think of her.

Afternoon all from a shattered Jazee. Not the relaxing Christmas I was hoping for at all. It was going ok until just after we had our main course, decided to take the dogs for a quick walk, only to find neighbours house on fire. Thankfully, no one in. We have temporarily given refuge to next door's puppy.

Oh yikes jazee did they leave the oven on I wonder?

DS was up at 4:30. Granny let him open 2 of his stocking gifts then I intervened and dispatched him back to bed for 2 hours but of course he "needed" to get in mine <rollseyes>

We'll be ready for our beds tonight!

    Been a nice peaceful day.

Bossy, I don't think so as they were going to family for dinner. Fire started in a bedroom upstairs, very quickly spread.

Next door have just been allowed back into their house so the puppy has gone home. Can't remember how I used to manage with three dogs all the time.

DH is now asleep as are Littley and Poppet so I think I'll just pour the b0llinger and watch some telly.

    Have a restful evening everyone.

Thank goodness you did decide to go for a walk with your dogs, and spot the fire.
Sorry you had your day interupted, but the fire could have spread and goodness what may have happened.

Bossy good for you to send mastermoo back to bed!

    Morning all,

Absolutely devastated about George Michael. A much loved legend in our house. Playing Praying for Time and reflecting on the words so poignantly this morning.

I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday. Ours was fab until about 3, poor DS was shattered so he took a lot of energy to look after when all we wanted to do was veg out! Got them both to bed for 6.30 though then chilled.

My secret Santa gift is wonderful and has pride of place on my house door keys, thank you so much, it reminds me that flylady sparkle is always there :)

Today is a huge family party with DH family. Not my bag at all - I'll drive, and then I can leave with the kids when they get tired, leaving DH there to get drunk lol.

    Have lovely days all xx

Sorry didn't get online to wish you all a Merry Christmas yesterday..was a bit side tracked as my 17yr old niece was staying with us and she needs constant attention (has aspergers!) plus I was running around like a wotsit in the morning. But it was nice just me and DH at home for the first time in 28 years, we normally go to his mums but didn't this year.

I will sadly confess I was wrapping presents until 1am Christmas Eve..ugh!!! And to stay I was shattered on CHristmas Day was an understatement...lol

But we enjoyed it..and DH cooked a lovely Christmas Dinner - do you think I can get him to cook every dinner from now on :D

Am off to the crematorium this morning then dropping my niece at her place before we head off to her mum's for our Boxing Day jovility :D

So sad to hear about Rick Parfitt from Status Quo and even more so George Michael this morning. I grew up listing to Wham and had posters of George Michael on my wall as a kid. I remember one of the care workers from my childrens home going into a record shop and actually purchasing a Wham album and he vowed he would never ever buy one again..and he didn't..lol Strange the things you remember.. :D

Valli honey, so good to hear you sounding more upbeat, but others have said baby steps.

Oh well Niece has been banished to the bathroom for her shower, then I'l have mine when she gets out. DH is walking the puppy, hopefully he's walking off puppy's energy..lol I'm desperately trying to keep my eyes open..lol

Hope everyone has a happy Boxing Day today, and a good Bank Holiday Tuesday :D

  • We have snow. Shortly off to Braemar for family sledging. Joy.

    Cafe and hot chocolate calls.:D

Only 24hrs to survive. Definitely won't be staying up late. The men are having a whisky tasting session tonight. That might just be too much temptation considering the mood I'm in.
