Gilly welcome back; that wedding sounds truly magical. I'm well jealous re Huskies - they are such lovely dogs!
Valli I'm pleased you had some good news; goodness knows, you deserve it.
I'm afraid I overdid it again yesterday, so today is another sofa day (though I shall get Mr LW to help me wash my hair later) - we went into town yesterday and visited 5 places - the F&V market, the bank, the theatre (to book tickets for a play at the end of January), the stationers, and @ldi on the way home; and I fear this was really too much all in one hit.
Still, it's all dealt with, and I shouldn't have to leave the house again til at least Tuesday; and Sasha will be arriving on Wednesday for a three-day stay. :T
Mr LW has decluttered some obsolete computer equipment from the loft; he's also lofted a couple of empty jam jars - I think we'll need to make some jam this coming year; I only made a bit of strawberry and some marmalade in 2016, as we had a good supply, but it's starting to run low now.
Still no ironing pile here;:D there was a bit appeared yesterday, but Mr LW cleared it immediately. :AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I've made 3 dozen mince pies, cleared the ironing again it's started blowing in gusts outside the patio chair I left out to help with hanging washing is In the flower bed at the bottom of the garden and Ive just had to rescue a couple of bird feeders and the garden waste bin.
Rescued the last of the washing off the line and I'll iron that while I have a cuppa and wait for my dad. Ds1s early start paid off he's now home having a power nap on the settee.
Glad the news was good Valli.SPC~12 ot 124

Took ds2 to dentist. He struggled to get ready for an 8.45start even though he rose at 6am
Headed in to a busy supermarket. Completed last few things off my list. Forgot toilet cleaner though.
Bought ds2 a Lego set to keep him busy.
Ground floor dysoned
DH has just arrived home for the holidays 3 hours early. Bins collected and returned to back garden. It is mighty windy here.
Get up and go has gone0 -
currently at 75mph gusts and waiting for the 80-90 mph in the next wee while. Everything is closed locally, no ferries etc. Power just came back on, so have been enforced housebound. Got bathroom measured (new year project), candles out and good book started. Better get a cuppa made before power goes off again.
Hope everyone is having a more productive day than me - although I'll be waaaayyyy more chilled out!!!! Barbara today and Connor on Sunday - might just get the book finished.:rotfl:0 -
Gosh, scottish lassy I hadn't realised Connor was hard on the heels of Barbara!
To all our Scottish Flyers - stay safe, batten down the hatches, and I sincerely hope the storms pass without wreaking too much havoc.
They really need to stop giving them names - it just encourages them!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Blimey Scottish lassie batten down the hatches!
I think we are all set! I've dusted and vacced everywhere, tidied, washed, dried, wiped, blitzed (bread into crumbs), fed and entertained (kids scrapbooking).
Pile of papers on chair is smaller, den is clean and tidy, foster boys present is wrapped and ready for tomorrow, fridge tidied.
Could do with finding a home for the food the inlaws are bringing, and drinks.
Can't think of anything else. Could squeeze another load in the WM this aft.
Gotta laugh, I came across some of those floor polishing slippers, with the noodle mop thingy underneath. Guinea pigs are currently asleep on them. So they've not been used to dust the floors but seems they make cosy snuggle beds :rotfl:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Stay safe Scottish lassie.
Tesco was amazingly civilised when we went down just now.SPC~12 ot 124
