Morning all,
Just having a quick cuppa and catch up.
Hugs to all those who will be spending Christmas without loved ones for the first time and especially your cousin and family bossymoo
Spent yesterday preparing lists with not a lot of help from DH and DD. Then did massive food shop which wasn't without its eek moment. Mine did have a more positive outcome than your DS Narcolepsy so I feel for your DS. I had loaded everything on the belt and went to find my purse from the bottom of the shopping bag and it was gone. That panic moment when you realise you had a whole months food budget in cash and over £300 on gift cards, nearly £600 in total. The girl on the till was brilliant and called the manager to check the cctv, apparently it's so good, they can zoom in to see what notes you paid with. Anyway I shot to the car just in case and there it was on the back seat for everyone to see. The relief was incredible especially as that car park has a cut through to one of the roughest estates in town. Now have several reminders to self, don't keep all your cards in one purse, don't put all the cash in, put the purse bells back on! Annoying as they might be there's a fat chance of anyone lifting your purse without you knowing. Rest of the day seemed as it if was spent putting stuff away and chilling, oh and putting tree no 2 up.
So today after a long lie in I am flying. Middle room today, which I have found is minging. Dh assures me he moves the furniture to Hoover behind but I can clearly see it hasn't been done since probably this time last year. We don't use it often! I have been scrubbing floors skirting and walls and have even got the paint out to touch up the bits where I scrubbed so hard I went through to the previous colour paint.
Well coffees done so I need a list for the rest of the week
Finish clean/tidy of middle room
Tidy living room
Hoover hall stairs landing
Tidy dining room
A/V kitchen and bathroom
Wash floors downstairs
Pick up outstanding prescription
Book prepayment certificate online
Reclaim script charges
Pay cc bills
Phone telegraph wines to make sure they cancelled subscription to wine plan
Text Gemma 're 3 Jan
Buy charity gifts for mum and dad
Last few bits in town
Finish wrapping
That should keep me busy, while DH and DD have gone into town for their annual shop together, then he will meet his friend in town to get err tipsy
Catch you all laterMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Hello All
As usual I have been missing in action, but here in spirit.
You have all had so much going on and I wish you all a better year in 2017.
My thoughts are with CY's family, Katiekat, Valli and anyone else spending their first Christmas without loved ones.
Dizzy, I hope 2017 is the year you finally get settled into your home
LW, I wish you great success with the new doggy company
Mr Ionafan, get well soon.
Bossy, continued success for you and your children
Piggers, if you are reading this. I wish you and yours all the best and can only hope that all your issues with KH are sorted.
Natty and Valli, thank you for doing the lists each week. I may not post, but I do read and your lists are a great help to all of us:A
My news since I was last here is
This is the first autumn/winter in many years where I have not struggled as much with SAD. I have used my therapy lamp at work but not needed it at home :j
My BP is finally in the normal range, two years ago due to HRT it was 215/176. In case you're wondering I was only on HRT for 3 weeks. I do take a daily tablet for the BP and it is now 118/79. After the holidays I am going to ask my GP about coming off them.
My DSD got married on the 10th of this month in Lapland. Twenty of us travelled to Rovaniemi and it was absolutely magical. We saw the Northern Lights, drove snow mobiles, led huskies We then had a reception back home last weekend. (PM if you would like to see some pics)
I will finish by wishing all of you (except LW) Merry Christmas. LW and Mr LW Happy Yule and belated Happy Solstice.
I will aim to be here more in 2017, but if I don't make it I will be checking in on you.
All the best

Shattered here but we have one room ready for Christmas! DH is snoring his fat head off after his afternoon in the pub, but DD stayed with him and his friend and escorted him home safely. Indian takeaway for tea and now upstairs wrapping again. Ooh and got a next VIP slot now!
Wedding sounds amazing Golly, you must post pics xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Hi Gilly all sounds positive for you, Happy Christmas.
Exhausted. Paid stuff, shopping, more paid stuff. Went to the supermarket in the nearest big town and half the shelves were empty, no chipolatas, no cream, no nice cheese, no party food etc. I could understand this if it was 5pm Christmas Eve! Will have to go elsewhere tomorrow for a few final things.
Work in the morning, presents to deliver, Christmas pudding still to make, washing to sort out, few of the boys presents still to wrap. Time for bed.0
