  • Morning all,

Utterly exhausted. The house move took over 9 hours in total, removals company were useless - I swear I did more packing and carrying than them. Grandma staying with us for a few days until we get her house straight - for one person she has the possessions you would expect for a family of 6. Time to get the Kon Marie book out I think....

Today will be spent at her new house sorting, unpacking, ringing utilities etc. All with DS in tow as no childcare for him. I can already envisage the tantrums. Roll on 7pm tonight when we go out for a meal and some vino!

Hugs aplenty here, help yourself xx

Welcome back gilly nice to "see" you xx

ATB I'd have been ordering the removals men around! xx

Much needed day at home here. Not stressing because we'll all be together which is the main thing, but I do have some all - over cleaning to do. WM already on with piggy bedding in and I'll work on the hooman washing basket after :D

I'm going to get the big vac out and "dust" with the nozzle rather than flapping around with a cloth and making it worse.

Dehumidifier is making conservatory feel a better place.

Will also do upstairs bathrooms and I forgot one present to wrap for mums foster boys, small world but they are being adopted by DS best friends mums work colleague!

Right, I'll go flip the bread I'm trying to stale for breadcrumbs for the stuffing, then stick the gammon in soak!

  • Hi all

Hope everyone's last minute preparations are going well! I started wrapping on Wednesday and was planning to finish last night. Got home to find OH had used all the sellotape and not told me!! So he is under strict instructions to buy more today, as well as doing a run for veg, and delivering presents / cards.

Well he did decide to take a week off :rotfl:

Probably won't get on again so Merry Christmas everyone!!

  • Decided not to leave it till after Christmas as I'd only be thinking about it so I've just done my online food safety exam and passed whoowhoo so all set up now to start as after schoolclub carer in the new year.

Better get on with flying now, but first a cuppa to celebrate.

    Well done Mrs MP :)

Baby steps - that's right valli xx

Upstairs is done - except my bed which I'll do tomorrow as inlaws will have my room.

Desk tidied but papercarp piled on chair now :rotfl: I'll deal with soon. More tidying needed in there too.

I have my lists for today, tomorrow and Sunday (only food related!) so I don't forget anything:o

Just having a cuppa then I'll get back to the den!

Sorry to hear sad baby news Bossy. Made me squeeze my monkeys tight :(

I've wrapped everything except stocking fillers, beef and gammon joints prepped for cooking this afternoon, Buck's fizz is in the fridge, skids are on the train...relax...

Watching Rapunzel with Small. Tiny is asleep under a chair and DH is playing computer games.

    I must've forgotten something...
