(((Hugs))) Valli. It's not easy, but this will pass.

We've all done it Mrs MP - smashed a favourite thing. OH and I used to save our favourite bests for when we had guests because we were so afraid of breaking them. Then we realised that we never saw them, they were very rarely used and we didn't get any pleasure from them. So, the fact that it got broken was because you loved it and it got used. It can be replaced - how convenient it's five days before you get given lovely things ....

You're doing exactly what we all do Jellie, trying to cram everything in that you want to do and that you're technically capable of doing, even if you haven't got the time or the energy. If you buy some cheapo crackers you won't have to fret about not making them, and if you get the time you'll have some emergencies for next year. Getting ahead and all that. What your family doesn't want is a stressed Jellie, and neither do Flyladies.

    YL your life sounds exhausting.

Computery stuff that needed doing urgently has been done *phew* and I'm now trying to write Christmas cards. Unfortunately as OH is away the only place in the entire house Devil Cat wants to be is my lap which isn't helpful. Must get some rent out of one of the lodgers today too.
    Better is good enough.
  • Dh did say well have a look for a new one when we do the last food shop and he's promised not to wrap it and call it my present lol

    Valli thinking of you x

Mrs-MP whoopsie! Looks like lots of us have done that but it's a real pain when it's your favourite dish.

Dancemum our school finished on Friday so you've had another couple of days of peace up to us!

Vaccumed right through downstairs yesterday. Am trying to psych myself up to mop floors but struggling! Just about to go and wash up as that normally gets me into cleaning mode but I'd really much rather sit and watch Harry Potter with the kids!! Going for a walk this afternoon.

  • Back from mils, I took a big bag of ironing with me its all now done and waiting at hers for Dh to bring home tonight. Her bathroom floor looks lovely with its nice new tiles. She was going out for dinner and didn't want to leave tiler there alone that's why I went and took ironing ( I did her cleaning yesterday) I've got about another hours ironing to do so going to crack on with that his I'm home. On hone straits with te laundry as well so should be Ok to succeed with the end of year ironing challenge.

Dh was impressed that I'd almost cleared my jobs list for the week, I had to explain I was still working my way through yesterday's and that natty or Valli set us a new list each day it's just that I normally work off my iPad do he doesn't see a paper version of it.

Right just going to reload the wm and I'll get on with te ironing

  • Apart from the tablecloth I've ironed everything, so until more washing is dry I'm uptodate whoo hoo.
Going to make food, then finish wrapping, we ae going shopping tonight. It's ds1s birthday tomorrow I've promised him tuna lasagne do I'll make a single serving one especially for him.

Need to also check today's list and see what I heed to add from that. I don't suppose rasping round like a blue bottomed fly was one of the items - if I think I achieved that.

Kaz Dh is very good and he's been hanging out or bringing in washing all over the weekend and if I do any over night he hangs it before he goes to work.

That's exactly how Mr LW feels - so we get the Royal Albert plates out (belonged to his Mum) every Sabbat (there's eight each year), and for birthdays and anniversaries, and I use the other fairly "posh" china (also his Mum's) whenever I feel like it. And we use his Gran's sherry glasses whenever we want, and his Mum's hock glasses.
Much better than it all sitting in the cupboard gathering dust. :o

I'm taking it very steady today, in order to manage tomorrow (Solstice). We plan to sit out on the patio to watch the sun rise; and I shall be doing something inventive with Qu0rn fillets, HM white wine sauce and Feta cheese and roast root veg, followed by HM Xmas pud.

I must locate some suitable candles, also; I have a big wooden chest full of them, but it's got a lot of stuff on the top of it which I'll have to move to get in. Having no dog here at present, we can use "proper" candles, not just tea lights.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
