Evening all, I've done everything on my list except my packing!! ah well there is always tomorrow! ;)
The beetroot hot chocolate (never to be repeated) cake isn't bad but I won't make it again. Kids were just happy to have cake!
Two of us had a bath using one lot of hot water, also using some lotions and potions. One of them is a jar of foot moisturiser that I was given by a friend a few xmas' ago, I then gave it to my sis as part of a hamper I made up then last year she gave it to me in a hamper - so I've finally decided that I must have needed it. Also left hair to dry naturally.

Time to put feet up with a big cup of coffee now :)
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

    Evening all :)
Didn't manage to check in yesterday as work was hectic, but quieter today. However, I looked after GD, so no huge accomplishments today either :o

Entertained GD for free, we got the Christmas tree in from the garden as it was dry for once, and decorated it. I will need to redo this as all the decorations are on one side :rotfl:
As it was a nice day I got out and did a little bit in the garden this morning. Got the autumn raspberry canes cut down, cut them into lengths for kindling wood once they dry out. I would have done more, but GD was bored by this point
Internet meat offer arrived, we had nice sausages from the box for dinner :) Still got to find room in the freezer for most of it  though it is fine in the fridge for tonight.
Managed to dash to the post office while OH watched GD - had to drive due to lack of time and lots of heavy parcels!
Managed to list a few bits on ebay this morning while GD and OH took the dog for a walk
Sold a few more things, still got a couple to pack for posting tomorrow :)

Been a busy Bee at work. I was away Mon/Tues with work fully expensed.
Needed to detox no time to make lunch so called at Morrisons to get a tin of soup so I didn't spend out on an expensive lunch.
Got told that I'm getting a Christmas bonus. Yipeee!

    Hi all,

Baileys babe, what does HE stand for, please?

This week has been a bit of an odd one, I made the mistake of having a nap on Sunday afternoon then couldn't sleep at all during the night so by the time I got home from work on Monday evening I'd been awake for more than 24 hours  I went to bed right after dinner but actually felt worse on Tuesday than I did on Monday :rotfl:

I have been having problems with an eBay buyer which I won't bore you with (it's posted over on the eBay board if anyone is interested) which has resulted in me getting a totally undeserved neutral feedback just because the buyer is an idiot who doesn't understand what they are doing which I am royally peed off about.

Sales are still trickling through though, I accepted an offer on something that's been hanging around indoors for a year just to be rid of it and because I was posting other stuff.

The fashion team had a sale on Monday afternoon and I managed to get some glittery shoes for DSD's very glamorous works Christmas party, a nude-coloured jumpsuit, a black lacy dress (all for DSD) and a denim jacket for DSGF, all of them cost me just £3 each. DSD wasn't keen on the black dress so I will eBay it instead which should make back the money spent on the other things.

Tomorrow is our departmental Christmas night out, I cried off of the official whole mag one (even though it was free) as 'mingling' is my idea of hell. This one is going to be a sit down meal just with people I know and like so will be far more enjoyable. We have to pay for ourselves this time but it's in a not overly expensive restaurant so won't be too spendy. I'd still rather be home watching the Apprentice though :rotfl:

I actually managed to get a punnet of YS plums tonight and grabby man gave me a bag of pineapple slices that he had two of (I feel bad for moaning about him now :o) I also got a sandwich for tomorrow and the whole lot cost me 56p :T

The dream boys came into work today promoting their Christmas calendar so I got a free one (calendar, not dream boy :rotfl: )

Can't think of anything else, hope everyone is over their bouts of sickness and having a good week :)
    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    Hi everyone

Phew, made it back! :p Have been MIA for a few days with Christmas busyness!

We had our work Christmas do - it was a bit of a rubbish venue (massive and there were only around 50 of us) but they made up for it with free drinks and got everyone a taxi home at the end of the night so shouldn't really complain.

I'm working from home today so happy about that. It's been an ongoing battle since my new staff started (boss isn't happy that I'm not around to babysit...) but it's the only way I can get this particular job done - really need to concentrate and not have babysitting duties (constantly asking questions/interrupting)!!

In other news...YNAB reconciliation has gone completely out of the window the past few days - tempted to 'make a fresh start' when I get paid tomorrow rather than trying to work it all out but maybe it won't be as bad as I'm thinking. Just cash spends hard to track in retrospect so I could just put one 'reconciliation' transaction in and see what happens.

Decided to crochet a big mesh shopping bag to store my yarn - that's use up project #1. :D Pom poms are also a good one Bob - Pinterest shows me loads of gift wrapping with pom pom decorations! Maybe this is what I need so people don't realise it's the same wrapping paper as last year :rotfl:

Also darned OH's christmas jumper - it was a new one but it was easier/quicker/cheaper for me to fix it than waste time/energy/petrol driving back to the shop.

I was meant to be going up to visit the parentals and see some friends this weekend - 7/8 hour drive round trip - but don't know if I will now as one friend cancelled and I see the other one a lot :p ... Would be nice to see the family but then will see them the following week anyway and probably have lots to do around the house prepping for our holiday.

    Right...sorry for the essay!! :rotfl:
  • Morning all,

    Managed to nail my list for yesterday (apart from the mopping) so hoping today is just as productive;

    - Check banks and YNAB
    - Exercise
    - Shower at gym
    - Charge phone at work
    - NSD
    - Bring lunch and snacks to work

    I am lucky enough to have a day off tomorrow and I've a few things that are needing doing so I'll write my list just now and may even add to it as I think of things;

    - Haircut (take presents for hairdresser)
    - Exercise
    - Shower at gym
    - Visit hobbycraft
    - Phone First Direct
    - Give book back into library
    - Clean car inside and out
    - Mop floors
    - Deep clean toilet
    - Book train tickets for stag do in March

Ok, I think that's me for now. As I said, I may well add to this as I think of things.

This is my post from this morning! I typed it out then went and got ready and obviously didnt post!

Ha ha what a glamorous life you lead Fvd! Far cry from my day yesterday when my boss told me I can't pick up the coop £10 Christmas meal deal for one of my clients which I had a cry about! Sad story woman with 3 kids, constant sanctions. But my boss has said money can't change hands between me and my client :( (on a side note I have discovered on the 14th of each month things get on top of me at work :o)

    Not much to report today:

Madam and me having lo chicken noodle soup for lunch
    Nsd? Maybe...
Take note of mileage and update expenses form
Xmas activity with madam. Might take her for a walk around the village to look at Christmas lights
Something out of freezer for tea
    Bath and early night

That's all I can think of!

I also managed to get a muffin free at work

La e I feel bad,I'm that new person asking lots of questions!

    Evening all :)
    Today I have / will:
Went to market in next town, as we often do on Thursdays, got 2 huge bags of veg for £4 :)
Posted yesterday's (and this morning's) ebay sales
Sold 1 more item, so far...
Went to sales unit, and was pleased to see that 2 big things (in size sadly, not value, but still...) had sold :T Luckily I had taken a few more bits to put in so that it didn't look empty. I will take something else down tomorrow.
    A few surveys for onepoll
Found room in the freezer for the meat that arrived yesterday. Just left some mince out to 'do' something with
Made 'pizzas' from slightly stale posh bread, using up the rest of the sausages cooked yesterday, alongside tinned tomatoes, grated cheese, a few chopped mushrooms and some herbs. That did for dinner tonight :)
Redid the Christmas tree, as GD had put all the decorations on one side yesterday :rotfl:
Managed to get Drs appointment, that are like hens teeth round here :)
Sorted out some more things for ebay / sales unit, though it was too dark to take photos again :(
Must find the set of glasses that has just sold, and pack them ready to post tomorrow!
