Danno, how u manage to get 6 nights fully comped at Bellagio & Mgm ?? Guessing u rolled in some cash at Bellagio in the past ?
We did 2 weeks last year, stayed in "Mirage - Cosmo - Monte Carlo - Luxor" .. Changing hotels made the holiday feel like it lasted longer!!
3 of us went this year, but in the Luxor, I asked for the Queen suite, based on 2 people staying.... no 3rd person fee
I'll be honest in that I don't think I even gambled in the bellagio. MGM yes. Only been once back in 2015. Can't remember what my coin in was. Lost a couple of grand but think I put through a good $18000 in the 2 weeks there, most of that was lost in the Luxor though. No offers for there!
Need to get things booked now. 4 hotels it is. Can't turn down the 6 free nights. Have a 4 day gap between so I can use both offers and job done!0 -
Going to vegas in july.just wondering is it better t get taxi or shuttle bus to hotel.im staying at cosmopolitian and if i use taxi do i tell driver to avoid underpass as i seems to be longer.im not on uber for info0
-
I dont think you have to say "no tunnels" now to the taxi drivers. I think by law now they have to take you the quickest way
As for getting to the hotel, after a long flight i just want to get to the hotel asap so will pay abit more for a taxi. Not sure about the Cosmopolitian but to the Luxor its about $20-$25 dollars. Probably cheaper if you book in advance. Cosmopolitian is just abit further up so maybe slight more.
Im guessing the bus will take alot longer as it will stop at the many hotels on the way. So it depends if you are willing to save abit of cash for a longer transfer0 -
Many thanks bobble.just checked the taxi site on here and there pricing about 22$ so your not far off the mark.shuttle bus about 8$ a head and as you say more stops.so taxi it is lol.cheers0

Yea depends time of day i think too (cost us more when landing as it was evening, compared to the return journey in the afternoon). So maybe they work like UK taxis and charge more after a certain time. Also if you get stuck at traffic lights they can be on red for over a minute, which can add a dollar or so on each time. And there are alot of traffic lights in Vegas! Dont forget the tip aswell for the driver.
Ive never thought about the shuttle bus. Soon as i land i just want to get to the hotel asap and gamble0 -

We used Uber for the first time this trip - honestly, it's so easy to use. Downloaded the app before we left home, then switched on wifi at McCarran and ordered the car from there. Cost $10.99 to The Palazzo, then $16.00 from Mirage back to the airport on Sunday. Car that picked us up for the first ride was a BMW, car on the way back was a Charger! Both drivers were great. We went for the 'pool' option that means you might have someone else joining you on the journey but it wasn't much more to have the car just for you."Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

Another vote for Uber or Lyft here.
Taxis are supposed to take the shortest route, but they rely on tourists not knowing what the deal is. If you're getting a cab from the airport to Cosmo the route should be Swenson to Harmon. Anything else will be a long haul. We have had drivers saying there is an accident or construction to persuade us to take the freeway. I have always said no, surface please, and have found no such traffic delays.0 -
if you can afford to stay at the cosmo. i wouldn't worry about a couple $ differance for a taxi .
in fact id get a limo lol0 -
We always use a limo for the transfers. It's daft and unnecessary, but it's just 'Vegas' to us, since we did it on the first trip for my OH's 40th. It's about $150 for the stretch limo, return transfers to/from The Cosmo with Presidential Limos.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58
