It doesnt get used as much now as it was , when Trets started it, ( a good few years ago now), with some input from a few of us.
There didnt seem so much info out there about Vegas (especially money saving) but may be there is much more info elsewhere now.

I did it for a couple of years before secretmachines took it on.

To be honest other than copying and pasting the first few pages and then updating with any relevant info there isnt anything else to do.

I havent read the first few pages for a few years so no idea if all the info is up to date, regulars all know Vegas changes fast.

It also used to be a sticky so was always on the front page, even if no one takes it on, as long as regulars keep posting it will always be near the top

Well the New York thread was started in January 2010 and is still going strong, we could just contunue using this one.

Perhaps Secret Machines would be happy to edit the title of this thread to remove the 2017? (If that's possible!)

Does it require admin support from the site to do it? If not, someone could just copy/paste, check the info? I believe they needed to do a post with several replies so they could add all the info by editing it?

Anyway, I'm all booked for 'this' year. We got flights with 5 nights at Tuscany for £1270 on ebookers, with another £50 or so back in points with them. Not sure if any of you use ebookers, but they give you a free lounge pass for 4 nights booked (redeemable after the stay, so for your next trip). They also have a deal on just now NEWYEAR60 for £60 off flight+hotel bookings before the end of January, plus double points.

So, we're flying with BA end of August, staying at Tuscany 5 nights, moving to Planet Hollywood (they had rates of $32 a few months ago, including weekends so we snapped that up just in case!!), and 5 nights at Platinum.

So, now to continue with myVegas to see what deals we can get. I'm very puzzled though. I was on popslots earlier in the week and my points balance was massively inflated. I assumed it was just an error in that app. When I log in to the normal web version though, I've still got nearly 700k points, as opposed to the under 200k I had beforehand. Has the structure changed?

Sorry I've missed a couple of posts here... anyone can start a new thread with a 2018 title. I would recommend doing it late/early in the day, as you will need to "reserve" the first dozen or so posts to lay out the content. That way you're less likely to get people jumping in and nicking one of the first posts!

I'm sorry that I don't have the time to admin a new thread, but we definitely won't be going to Vegas this year, so my heart won't be in it

I did think about starting a similar, helpful thread for Dubai (where we will be going soon), however beyond the walls of this lovely thread and you guys, there's a lot of idiots in these forums - so I don't think I'll bother and waste my time

I've started the 2018 post and copied everything.

For future reference, it's quite easy to do. At first I thought I wasn't going to be able to copy the links over, so I just went into each of the 15 posts and clicked 'quote' then copied it over and took the 'quote' bit off the start and end. Links worked.

Please, if anyone sees anything that needs updating can you let me know?

The thread is now ready to post on.

It would be good to update with links to 2017 trip reports, but that is the time consuming bit!

To be honest, I wouldn't know what was up to date and what wasn't as I'm not familiar with all of the sites in the links.

I could hunt for trip reports, but I don't have the time right now. Maybe at some stage, or if anyone can suggest an easy way to do that as I think it would involve reading the whole forum from last year, which quite honestly I'm not up for doing.

As I said, if anyone notices any updates, let me know and I'll edit the posts.
