Going to vegas in july.just wondering is it better t get taxi or shuttle bus to hotel.im staying at cosmopolitian and if i use taxi do i tell driver to avoid underpass as i seems to be longer.im not on uber for info
get on uber (or lyft), there's no reason not to (unless you don't have a smartphone).
find some promo codes online and your first ride (upto $20 usually) will be free.
recently, the code "vdara" gave you $20 off your first ride.0 -
Last time I went it cost me $30 to go from Drais to the Mirage in a taxi
I "might" have been a little drunk and fallen asleep though so not sure if we went a stupidly long way or if I was just sat in the car snoring for a wile0 -
In 2013 it cost us $38 from the airport to Vdara. Got well and truly long hauled, the driver went past the City Center exit up the freeway past TI then back down the strip. I was too tired and too much of a wuss to complain. Swore off taxis after that and have used shuttles til this year. I love with Uber/Lyft that you know what you're paying before the car even arrives - no chance of being ripped off = no stress"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I've been a fan of Uber too since I went to Vegas, you know the price beforehand and even if you get caught in traffic it doesn't change and all of the drivers I had were very friendly and full of advice too, even had them offer to stop off at the shops if I wanted to pick something up on the way. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again next time i'm out there.0

We just used uber for the first time to get from jfk into Manhattan.
It was very easy, and used a code for $20 off.
Although the driver never spoke once. Will use Lyft for return trip to airport, and then use both when we are next in Vegas.0 -

Virgin gave us $40 in refreshment vouchers that we've just spent on ludicrously expensive fruit cups and organic crisps and the bonus silver lining is that, as we didn't use our free lounge passes in Manchester, we've been able to use them for the Club lounge here - FAR superior to either of the Manchester lounges, we're sitting eating complimentary jelly bellys, I'm drinking complimentary 'champagne' (Freixenet) and hubs has been spoilt for choice by the beer selection. Best if all though, I've had a lovely hot shower and got changed ready for the flight. Blooming marvellous!
Don't forget you'll be able to claim for the flight delay (assuming it wasn't an extraordinary reason!)0 -
Thank you - my husband spotted that so our claims went in yesterday! We'll see what happens, one if the other passengers told us that the delay was because our plane had had to go to Orlando and back before setting off for Vegas on Sunday morning.
We were scheduled to land at 9.35am, wheels touched down at 12.36 (although the pilot said it was 'just coming up to 12.30'. Official landing time was 12.46 though - as I learned yesterday, the plane isn't considered to be landed until at least one door is opened."Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

I've not stayed there, but I've eaten there!

They regularly do Groupons where you get $30 of food & drinks for $16.
The hotel looked ok from the outside, but it is quite far from the strip; You wouldn't be able to walk it!0 -
Has anyone flown Manchester to Vegas with Virgin recently ?
Just wanted to confirm they are using 747s and if anyone has a link to seatplan as used for Manchester 747 ?
I have seen some comments online that Premium Economy in the " bubble" is a bit compromised, as no longer exclusively PE up there..0
