Hi Guys Im back with you for the first time since the site went down!
I had a very bad food weekend as it was my birthday on Sat so :
Friday Pizza and choc cake
Sat Lasange and slad followed by choc cake
Sun Large roast followed by trecle sponge
however I went shopping for jeans and couldn't get in any!!!!!!!!
so back to being good
today
breakfast - Museli with yoghurt
Lunch - HM Veggi soup
Dinner - spag bol and salad (need to keep portion sizes down!)Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help?
Weight at lightbulb moment 13 7lb
goal for Christmas 12 7lb! :rotfl:0 -
Morning ladies!:j
Not too bad yesterday, my nocturnal trip to fetch OH from work kept me out of the cupboardsbut has left me slightly disorganised for today:o
I've had toast and marmalade for brekkie, got hummus and oatcakes with some fruit for lunch.
Tea will be whatever I fancy cooking when I get in. I've got my lowfat crisps to nibble on the way home so that I don't dive into the bread bin when I get home and I've got my swimmers with me to go for a swim in my lunchbreak :rotfl: *polishes halo* :rotfl:
Have a good day one and all!0 -
Morning!
Rough day here, think I've eaten too much bread and suffering the effects.
I've got a portion of spag bol in the freezer that i'll have with sweet potato for lunch, and have soup tonight. Fortunately I'm out on a course later so won't be wanting to pick at stuff.:rudolf:0 -
Morning all. Breakfast was porridge with raisins and cinnamon.
Snacks will be banana (gone already) and two apples.
Lunch will be lentil and veg casserole.
Tea will be sausage casserole - hopefully bubbling away in the slow cooker at homeworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Ok... cute n quirky, enough please.
Cambridge diet is good for quick weightloss but it is NOT healthy eating nor will ever be and is unlikely to be sustained over a long period of time. You obviously seem unable to understand WHY your promotion of this diet is unwelcome ( as you do not seem to have read and understood the concept of Old Style lifestyle and eating ) and have taken it personally, with the result that you have become more and more unpleasant in your postings. That too is not welcome and against forum rules.
Now please, take your snide attitude and ignorant comments elsewhere." Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.. "~ November 8th 2008. Now totally DEBT FREE !~0 -
Hi everyone,
I have removed a number of posts from this thread as they are not relevant to the Old Style weight loss thread.
Please read the first post in the Lose Weight the Old Style thread for clarification of what this thread is specifically about.
For anyone choosing to follow diets involving ready meals, meal replacements, and weight loss clubs the best place to post and get support is the Lose Weight 16 thread on the I wanna board.

Thanks pink.
Does any of you have any slow cooker recipes? (I've got an ebook of recipes but not ploughed through it all yet). Getting all excited about my slow cooker now - chopped all my veg up last night. This morning threw it in the SC and added chopped sausages, passata and herbs. Hopefully will have an edible tea as soon as we get home
Tomorrow will be pork chops with cream of mush soup over - probably with veg underneath too so I don't have to do anything but dish up when we get home
OH has decided not to eat potatoes, rice, pasta or bread.
Any low fat healthy non-tomato based casserole ideas anyone?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi Frogga,Mrs Mc and all,:hello:
Just a M/S tip for anyone who is trying to drink more water but dislikes the chlorine taste.
Put water into a jug or open necked container(an empty wine carafe is good) place overnight in the fridge and you will find that the chlorine has dissipated, saves buying bottle water all the time.
Went to the Docs this morning walked there and back quite briskly and she didn't say too much about my weight,I told her I was involved with a great slimming group and she was satisfied with that, I am resolved to show a lower reading on the scales next time I go.:A
Didn't fancy anything to eat before I went but left some porridge soaking and had it when I came back, really enjoyed it.
For lunch I'm having H/M veg soup and then some fruit salad.
Tonight roast ham with the last of the green beans out of our allotment and mash potato,
Yogurt and H/m jelly for sweet'
By the way Mrs MC we harvested the Jerusalem artichokes and I tried several ways of cooking them,BLEEURGH!!!! won't bother with them again, next year, will grow more green beans and hopefully some extra sweetcorn, only did a little of that this year for a trial and it was lovely .
Keep motivated everyone,we can do this together.:T :T :TWhat goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Hello all,
I just wanted to say, I'm back in. I haven't had the best time recently and I really need to get started again, before I undo all my good (expensive ) work.

Hi - I wonder if anyone reading this thread can help? I read somewhere about replacing the butter in baking with natural yoghurt (HM of course!). Does anyone have any idea of what 1oz of butter would equate to in a yoghurt measurement? I was thinking of trying this in my scones to cut down the calories.
I am amazed at the fabulous progress many of you are making. I remember, in January, stating on another thread that my goals for this year was to lose 4lbs (not a lot, but I'm finding it impossible - and its probably more likely to be 6lbs now ). Come to think of it my other goal was to get a will written and that's not been finalised either). So well done to you all, and a kick up the rear end for me.0
