Sorry, think I must have missed it while I was away but where is Delly going? Sounds like hospital or something? Hope you're ok DB.
Suggs have a lovely time in Skeggy and everyone enjoy your day. I'm being ordered back to bed (no signal from there, grr) so will try and tune in later. Get well soon all those other poorlyites!
BTW, OH just made me swallow a whole garlic clove with some echinacea and orange juice!! And he justified it by pointing to Grannynise's comment about garlic which happened to be on my screen at the time! As he walked away, he shouted back up the stairs ' I won't be kissing you for the rest of the day now by the way!' - charming!:rotfl:xxThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hello again all. . . .
If you signed up for the swap box check your pms as I have sent out your swappees! How exciting!!
Please please make sure you follow through on this - it would be really disappointing for anyone to have sent off a parcel filled with thoughtfulness and never get anything themselves. Remember your parcel needs to arrive in time to be opened on 31st October - not sure if there are any more postal strikes planned but given royal mail's performance lately it might be wise to post it sooner rather than later.

Hello all
starlight, just noticed your signature, what a fab loss this year, you must be a whole new person, I've lost about 2 and half stone since I was at my biggest 8 years ago and I feel like a new person.
!
Thanks jen. I do feel (and look) a lot better! Still have a way to go but I know Ill get there.
Its great discovering little achievements, things like I dropped my car off for its MOT yesterday, the garage is about 3/4 of a mile from the house so I walked back & then went back for it. I wouldnt even have tried to do that a few months ago.0 -

Raphael, re: pizza, I have been making my own from scratch and making sure they are only about 6 points at most. I have been adding just 2 points of cheese and making sure there is plenty of shallots, mushrooms etc on there that I dry fry first so you get a sweet taste- lovely. Then I freeze them part cooked and they have been coming out fab. Obviously I know it's time consuming but it is well worth it as they taste so yummy.
I have made a couple myself before, using a base mix from asda, cheaper and very yummy. I love lots of olives & peppers, but the cheese is my problem, I try not to buy cheese as I end up just munching thru the block!
I haven't tried freezing them yet, so sounds like a good idea, I could stock up the freezer (pizza is my all-time fave food)
How long do you part cook them for?

Hi, I was very kindly invited over here after clogging up the recipe thread (sorry). I am Ness, have six children and am at Slimming World but finding it tough going. It's partly cos I'm getting a bit bored, partly because some of their staples (dairylea light, nimble, anyhting with artificial sweeteners in) I really don't like, and partly because I seem to lack the time to plan meals that are varied enough. I am a bit of a Jamie Oliver babe, liking lots of olive oil and rustic bread and 'proper' food if you see what I mean, I'm a veggie too. I also tend to grab food when I'm stressed which is a lot of the time. I weigh in every week but can't stay for group because of the babies, I don't think that helps!
I'm going to look back through this thread over the next few days, but wanted to say hi, I hope this can be a bit of a boost for me.
Thanks, Ness.0 -
