BTW, OH just made me swallow a whole garlic clove with some echinacea and orange juice!! And he justified it by pointing to Grannynise's comment about garlic which happened to be on my screen at the time! As he walked away, he shouted back up the stairs ' I won't be kissing you for the rest of the day now by the way!' - charming!:rotfl:xx

I'm SO sorry Bails I wasn't meaning you to be force fed whole cloves of garlic! I was thinking more of a nice baked onion, all soft and squishy. Or is that for ear ache?

Don't worry Grannynise, it was quite funny and didn't taste of anything so was actually fine! No idea about the ear ache thing though...

Been lovely having friends here (still have two staying tonight) but I am also looking forward to getting back to normal tomorrow. It's onl the 2nd week OH and I have been in the house together, despite moving in 3 months ago, so we're really looking forward to getting things straight and making it our home.

Off to chill infront of a DVD now, catch you all tomorrow.

Thanks for the welcomes, I have used halloumi as a hea and usually roast in the oven with veg and a little olive oil (heb) to go with couscous, it's lovely! I am off to look on the recipe thread for something for tea tomorrow as I probably put on a stone today - oh made toad in the hole, roast potatoes, homemeade gravy, apple pie, custard.... I won't go on, but it was nice!

I get weighed on Tuesdays, is there somewhere separate to post?

    Thanks,
    Ness.

Sorry, forgot to say to Lois, I have 11 yo girl, 9 yo girl, 5yo boy, 3yo girl and twin boys nearly two. You're right there shouldn't be time to eat, but somehow there's always time for eating!

    Morning all

They are "frog" shaped chocolate bars made by Cadburys and have a picture of a frog on the front. Taste the same as dairy milk except in a smaller size. They also have a caramel filled one. Pure magic!!!

Can anyone else remember when the caramel freddo bars were called "taz" bars? Or am I the only one who's really that old. I remember having them as my treat when I joined WW at Uni - oh 10 years ago now.

By the way, have had a sleep and loads of pain meds and feeling much better.. I think it's terrible that I have had to be at home and self medicating before being out of pain but that may have had something to do with my blood pressure being dangerously low all yesterday afternoon after my op. ( something like 97/45).

Really feeling the pressure about the swap boxes now, at least I have a couple of weeks to think about it.

Serendisglair I'm sorry you had an appendectomy but glad I have an operation buddy! take care of yourself.

I'm off to hunt out my RC cook yourself thin book - I'm going to have to make some serious adjustments to my diet from now on! BTW - no-one has bought me any choccies (they all know the aftereffects of my op thanks to my brother's partner) so I had to rely on my OH for sympathy. Back on the wagon tomorrow despite the scars, and clips. (Just hoping the pain meds don't adversely affect my weight loss for then next few weeks!).
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

    Morning Peeps

Just a quickie and totally irrelevant to slimming, but I just came across this pic in today's Telegraph 2e4wyf9.jpg

Am I the only one to think 'What a happy and friendly looking fish!' ?... Oh well, it must be me :rotfl: :rotfl: but I shall make him my avatar for the week :rotfl: :rotfl: ...

...Anic and Queenieviolet I admit that this weekend was indeed the first time that I'd heard of them :o I've just asked my DD about Freddos and she has proceeded to described them in full detail :rotfl: , said she had them as a child  and then MrP admitted to buying them for her, as I very rarely bought her any sweets (what a cruel mummy ;) !!!)...

...Will catch up with you all later, but I fell in love with the fish:o :o :rotfl: ...

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Hi Ness - no need to go anywhere else, just post your result on the thread. Efrieze is looking after the chart at the moment and she will pick it up.

Great family - you did well to manage three of each, and to have the twins last, at least you've got older ones to help out.

I have made a couple myself before, using a base mix from asda, cheaper and very yummy. I love lots of olives & peppers, but the cheese is my problem, I try not to buy cheese as I end up just munching thru the block!
I haven't tried freezing them yet, so sounds like a good idea, I could stock up the freezer (pizza is my all-time fave food)
How long do you part cook them for?

I part cook until cheese starting to melt but is still not quite melted enough that it's oozing into the sprinkling of cheese next to it. Always make sure you grate on the smallest grater as it makes it seem like there is a lot more cheese, then defrost and oven cook to perfection, good luck.

Ness W - welcome to the chart. If you would like to let me know your total weight loss to date, I can put it on the chart. You can post it here or PM - whichever you prefer (but only if you want to).
