Thanks for the dulche leche clear up:D won't be getting that:rotfl:
    Hope you feel better dragon
I made the lasagna last night and to save calories never used the red wine or the cheese and used less lasagna and more veg and it was truly awful :rotfl: :rotfl: I had managed to take all the flavour out of it and it was like eating a mush of veg:rotfl: ate it though and gave H something else as he would have turned his nose up, that is what you get from trying to be clever and copy two recipes at once a bit of WW one and a bit of cook yourself thin recipes blended together equals yuck:rotfl:

Serendisglair, perhaps not concentrate on the 'loads of hard graft and sweat for 2 apples' info - that's enough to even stop me going to the gym and I'm a gym bunny :D Are you counting calories, is that part of your 'plan'? And do you like going to the gym, because if not it might be much better for you to take up some exercise you enjoy? Just a thought - it's far better when exercise feels like fun not torture! Oh, and just to add to your elephant facts, I found out on holiday you can buy a baby elephant for £130!!! If I could've fitted it in my suitcase...:rotfl:
    x

Hard enough to persuade my OH to have a cat let alone an elephant!!
I love the gym Like I never thought I would. I have to make myself go so I do try and arrange to meet my friend otherwise life tends to creep in the way more...it just always shocks me to find that for all the effort I've only used up two measly apples!

The thing I like about exercise is that at first it is the worst thing in the world but it does make you feel better about yourself for days afterwards (seem to stand up a bit straighter and remember to suck my tummy in). I hadn't been for three weeks due to visiting, visitations, family funerals and births so I was quite scared It would be like back to day one...surprisingly I found the cardio was still relatively easy so I hadn't regressed fitnesswise but the weights were a bit hard to move.

I have to tell you a story, listen in suggs and everyone that gets weighed at boots....
I weighed in this morning ( I know once a week on a tues normally but visiting mother tomorrow and wanted a def weight to fight my corner with:rotfl: ) anyway weighed same clothes, same time (just before work etc) and weighed 3lb more than I did on tuesday morning, rang H he said can't be etc, sitting talking about it later on he suggested for us to go back and weigh again...just got back from doing that and I now weigh another 5lb on top of the 3lb from this morning so within 7 hours I have gained 5lb and within 48 hours have gained 3lb so now it reads a hefty 8lb more :rotfl: :rotfl:

I asked to speak to the manager and explained it all to him, he agreed it would not be poss to increase 5lb in 7 hours and prob not 3 lb in less than 3 days and is calling in the repair men on monday, says it cannot be calibrated properly, that many a child bounces on them during the day and that they have obviously been messed about with, gave me a refund for the 2 times I weighed, asked me to weigh again to have two slips to show the repair man, saw tuesdays slip I had in my purse and is going to give me the next 5 for free:D

Never trust a boots weigh in machine:D :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

if I can get past 3am without waking up, I regard it as a lay in...

I find the worst thing about being awake when others are sleeping is the anguish/anger/angst. So to prevent that I've got a little speakery thing that goes under my pillow, plugs into the radio and when I wake up I switch it on. I set it to go off again in 45 mins and am then very seldom still awake when it cuts out. Mr GN isn't disturbed by it (would I care anyway?) and it's tuned in to the World service, possibly the most boring, sleep inducing station in the world. Works for me --- might help others. I can give you the name and shop to get it from but I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm advertising!

Dragon --- anything with onions or garlic might help

JM your meal sounds super. I think we should develop a fail safe suits any fussy visitor meal and then all do the same one. It would save any of us thinking excessivley.

    Hmm, where to begin -

Ajax - keep your mouthwash strictly to yourself and MrsA ;) . I don't think anyone here really believe's it works anyway. (always remember what Samantha from SATC says - "sweetheart, they don't call it a job for nothing!":rotfl:

Lois I haven't packed my bag yet. I'm not being admitted till 8.30 tomorrow ( I know 8.30 on a Saturday morning - it's criminal unless it's alcohol induced). I'm a bit less nervous about not needing it now as I've been in agony all day

bails and everyone else suffering from the cold - I hope you're all feeling better soon. (little Irish tip- drink hot whiskeys, you might still be suffering from the cold but you'll be too drunk to notice.:rotfl: ) Or, try echineca (sp) vitamin C and Zinc to help kill a cold and boost your immune system.

serendisglair you might only have burned off 100 or so calories actually at the gym, but doesn't your body still keep fatburning for up to an hour after you've finished your workout - so the real results are probably quite higher!

justmarried - I hope your dinner party goes well

victory I'm sorry your lasagne didn't work out. I have to admit, I looked at it last night and thought that you'd taken away most of the things that make it yummy but didn't want to say in case it sounded rude. Hope you have an ok time with your mum. Don't stress too muchl.

Right folks, I'm offski. I'll probably lurk for a few days. Try and stay on the wagon without me. I'll see you all on the other side.......

    ....a little speakery thing

 I was with you all the way granny, until you came up with the technological jargon gobbledegook :rotfl: :rotfl: but it does sound a good idea. I used to listen to the radio, but I'd get so into the chats and quizzes that I didn't want to sleep, and also it disturbed MrP, so that speakery thing does sound a good idea, anything is worth a try so I'd be grateful if you could PM me the details :jI don't have any trouble getting to sleep, but after a couple of hours I wake up and thats's it! My mind goes everwhere...

...Bails Thanks for your offer :T , I'll take any help ...

...delly I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow 2ro0t8y.gif take things easy...

...Am I the only one here that can't stand banoffee pie? I find it unbearably sweet so I'll give that dulche de leche a miss (thank goodness considering the calories  )...

...BTW I've had a very busy day and have a step count of 21,921 so far, the best day yet :j ...

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
