ps can someone else please tell me they're excited about Strictly on Saturday:j - have to do all my dancing vicariously at mo, and I LOVE it! (I love a lot of things tonight, don't I?!) I also love Waterloo Rd, no prizes for guessing why! My life is just one big TV simulation, lol! And yes Ajax, I know I need to get out more, I'm working on it, trust me!:D

Yes - I can't wait to see this series of Strictly either - did you see the pre-series programme last week with a collection of clips from the previous three series? It was great.

I like Waterloo Road too and Neil Morrisey is in it this time - what's the attraction for you?

Oops, still here Raphael! I just have hot skimmed milk, not sure if that'll do it for you though? Or camomile tea? In terms of 'sleep hygiene', I could waffle on for ages about how to get a good night's sleep. Having a set routine that you do every night is recommended, for example. I find the best way to get myself to sleep is to count my breaths...that's BREATHS Ajax (it wouldn't take very long otherwise :D). I have only once got to 50, and I was a proper insomniac!

Hope you find something that works for you, I can suggest some other things to try tomorrow if you like, but I really DO have to go to bed now. Step a-way from the laptop Bails...

Hot milk is lovely, but I need about 3 mugs, and its a pain in the butt to get up and make another!

I know my irregular routine is a problem, unfortunatly my work won't allow it! One week I'm on mornings, the next days, the next nights. I usually take about an hour to nod off.

Have you tried Cadbury's High Lights? - they're 40 calories each (I think) and they come in lots of different flavours.

I do like these, the only problem is the price, I think 50p a sachet the last time I bought them. I might treat myself next time I go shopping, the nights are getting colder after all!

poor you bails, hope you are feeling better soon. I also go with the options or the highlights for a bedtime drink - there are often multibuy offers on the individual sachets that you can stock up on.

As far as the starters go i would go for an antipasto platter - cured meats, olives, parmesan bruschetta. Nigella does grilled halloumi a lot but i've never tried that. For desserts I have a couple of standbys but they aren't especially diet friendly . . . .

decant a jar of dulche de leche into ramekins. Zap in the microwave till gooey but not boiling. toast a few packs of dessert waffles. Break up and place on a plate with the ramekin. Keep dipping till you feel sick. This can be as long as the bottom of the jar if you are anytihng like me, I daren't have the stuff in the house these days . . .

alternatively, get some giant cookies and put them on a well greased baking tray. Add a tablespoon of lemon curd and mound meringue over it. Bake in the oven for 15 mins or so till the meringue is set.

thanks for the advice on the stock seren! Seems eminently sensible. wish corned beef was still free on red, I love corned beef.

:D Talking about strictly come dancing I would love love to be able to dance/flick my legs forward like they do on the ad, what the ad advertises escapes me now ( I am sure someone will know) but it is high speed leg flicking dancing whatever it is called and it looks fab and would burn off some calories to boot :D

My mum used to be a ballroom dancing champion, she started off just dancing for fun but then started winning the odd medal and it went to her head so she went out and got all the beautiful sequin dresses, proper shoes, tuition, took it all seriously and ended up on shows like the odd not known dancing/talkingabout dancing/showing steps on sky channels, she had many medals before she had to give it up....
where do you get your dulche de leche from katie what does it look like? Tin?Pot/

    Morning all :hello:

Ajax - it never ceases to amaze me how you can manage to find something highly hilarious but shockingly naughty in the most innocent of subjects! :naughty: I blame the hormones :rotfl: :rotfl:

Raphael - your work schedule sounds awful, it must play havoc with your diet as well as being able to get to sleep. When you're not having meals at regular times it's much more tempting to eat unhealthy snacks all the time.

KPC - what's dulche de leche? I've never heard of it (although it sounds like that's the way it should stay if it's that delicious!).

Delly - best wishes for tomorrow, have you found some passion killer pyjamas and packed your overnight bag yet?

OK - work calls, have a good day everyone.

No, I missed it LL as we were still away! I love Waterloo Rd as it's about teaching and I miss my job! Although the schools I work in are a little more crazy, lol! Loved Teachers too - dunno about primary Grannynise but in secondary the staffrooms/antics really ARE like that!
