  • Hi everyone,

Just managed to log on again..haven't got a computer at home..boo:mad: I'm sure my boss now knows I am officially addicted to MSE

Thanks ajaxgeezer and brighton belle for your encouragement. I normally weight on on Saturday's so will post my results each week.

It's great to read other people's stories and hear how well they are doing - it really inspires me to keep getting those pounds off.

Also..has anyone found that since dieting they've been using diet coke as a replacememnt for sweet stuff. I am becoming far too dependant on it!!

Thanks everyone;) :D you are right suggs to go to the jewellers together but at £90 that they are going to give me that won't cover it:rotfl: :rotfl: I am goingto read the policy again because I am sure it says jewellery is covered up to the value of £500 and I was told today at work that I do not have to accept the 1st offer the insurance give me, so off to read:D I am sure they will get out of it though they always do:rotfl:

Made WW chicken lasagna today, it is in the oven ready to cook, did not include the cheese or from cook yourself thin the red wine, put loads of veg in it, more than they said so it is more a veg lasagna than anything else and I put 4 lasagna sheets on not 8;)

    Hello Peeps

First of Welcome Miss Sparkly Star 2mewtxe.gifI was very impressed to read that you have already lost pver 3st so - well done:j I did the same as you by completely cutting out all the bad things (wine mainly:o ), and now, after 9 months I no longer want the stuff, although that's not to say I could just stop at a little. During the summer I drank quite a lot of sugar free drinks, including diet coke and found it to be very helpful. I know it's not supposed to be too good for you, acidity and all that, but it isn't good to be overweight either, and I'm a jolly sight fitter now that the weight's off, it's a case of everthing in moderation. I know of worse things to be dependent upon!! If it works for you, then in my opinion, carry on and keep up the good work :T ...

...Thanks efrieze for the chart  but then, you are one of the resident techno peeps ;) Well done to rachelja and starlight as S'OTW and Annie  13.5lbs my eyes were on stalks when I saw that :rotfl: what a brilliant result :j :j :j ...

...Bails I'm sorry to see that you're still suffering not-tagged-smiley-14571.gifhope you pick up soon...
...serendisglair Don't let a bad couple of days get you downao5e9g.gif, well, I presume that's it :o , anyway, the gym will soon get your endorphins kicking in and you'll be back to your usual perky self :j ...

...jenpoptab :j You are doing so well :j keep it up...

Victory if the travel insurance won't pay out, will your house insurance cover it? Some house insurance policies cover personal posessions away from the house. I don't know if that includes abroad though. Might be worth a look though.
  • Hi petrichor,

Guess what..after going on and on about how I touched any junk since June just went to the pub for a collagues birthday.

Had a diet coke (as normal) god I'm sick of it tho...lol:rotfl:

Anyway then another colleague pulls this chocolate cake out of a box..and it looked incredible..really decadent and luxurious..they were all ooohhhing and aahing and i could feel the panic starting to set in  (sad isn't it)

Colleague cut slices and i have to admit had a bit my excuse was he just out it down in front of me. It was LUSH!!! but it was a really tiny slice so not too bad..but then no one put the cake away so I had to look at it for an hour...it was sitting there just staring at me:eek:

It was saying eat me, eat me and I had to come back to the office and log on here and tell you all about it. I am going to run extra hard at the gym tonight..sorry to go on but it's incredible how guilty a bit of !!!!!! cake can make you feel.....

Now the next question ..... in the unlikely event that I'd want a smaller picture of my dream archaeologist ...... how can I avoid taking up so much space?

Here are a couple of sites that I use that may help they're quite basic, but I've found them to be perfectly adequate for reducing/cropping pictures for use here and for avatars:-

This one for reducing for eg mlbib.jpgsorry if he's toooo small for you now but you can make him bigger again (shut up ajax!!)

This one for cropping for cutting out unnecessary parts of a pic eg28aucma.jpg

    Now stop drooling granny:cool:

    I hope they help.

What are peoples experience with these?? do you go online or just plane old write them down? Does anyone do these???

    Thanks
