Hi All
I was so depressed about it I had some crisps - me feel a gain coming on next week and i have only just started!!
Next time you're depressed make sure you do something different!!
Paint nails, phone someone or nip outside....or at least make a rule that when you know you're going to comfort eat you have to do 20 star jumps before you do! Its a hard habit to lose (I know) but well worth it as it just ups the depression coz you know you've been naughty. Far better to sort your head out in little ways like this than to ignore the comfort eating cycle.
Regarding the scales...they are new? Use this measurement as your baseline one and use it in the same place at the same time when you next weigh in and it should be accurate for you.
Golden rule number one in my little world! If its lost then is solid fat...if its a pound on then its water! (anything above that or a pound on every week needs addressing). If youtry and explain away your losses you won't celebrate them and have that high to carry you through to next week
You just need to chill a bit. Yes you may be more cuddly than you'd like at the mo but you now have a method of setting yourself new mini targets...2lbs off and a % off the fat thing...you'll be hitting at least one every few weeks :-)0 -
Hi All
Well had my first "weigh in" last night on my new scales (electronic with fat measuring thing). Have apparantly lost 4lbs since last week which I am very happy with but for the fact that most of its probably water and also my scales may be wrong!
Has anyone used fat monitoring scales before - i wanted to cry when i got on them -Im nearly half fat!!! (and not in the good way!)

Well done on the 4lb weight loss:j :j :j outside Sainsburys one day there was the fat monitoring woman and she said I was 32% fat I was so unhappy, she was selling tablets at £20/£25 a pop to reduce it, all a con, went onto the boots scales and it had a different reading:rotfl: :rotfl:
Crisps as one doctor said on the tele the other day are the devil's food;)0 -
Morning all. Well, after having lost just 0.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks, I am happy to report a 4lb loss this week. That takes my total to 82.5 lbs and I am just 1.5 lbs off 6 stone which is very exciting.
On a slightly different note, I wanted to tell you all about my gym joining and its link to MSE. I got 3 months' free gym membership at LA fitness (as a mystery shopper) and I have now just joined the gym having paid up front for a year. £671.40:eek: . I paid with £670 of tesco clubcard deals and £1.40 of cash! Hurt less that way!!!!!!!0 -

... yeah lol. Reminds me of when he was still playing and entering the twilight of his career.... he left England and signed a mega-money (at the time) deal to play Japanese league football for a team called Grampus 8.
Interviewer: "Why are you going to sign for Grampus 8?"
Lineker: "Oh, I've supported them all my life"
... brilliant quote.0 -
