    :jYay!! I have a maintain:j:j:j

WhenI got weighed on Monday I had gained 5lbs. So I have been determined to lose the weight and after hydrotherapy today and lots of gym ball exercises I have success. Now I will have to try this hard every week!

A huge WELL DONE to efieze, you have really reached a fantastic target!
Well Done also to rachel, LGD, queenie, newlywed, justmarried, victory, suggs and bails. Well done also to all other maintainers and losers that I have missed.

Without the support I get here I would be back piling on the pounds and be thoroughly depressed. I have to say the small plate and lots of vegetables seems to be my answer to MSE dieting. When I was away I ate whatever was put in front of me and the plates were huge in hotels, pubs etc. and I wasn't in a frame of mind to think about what I was eating. Thanks to Ajaxgeezer I am doing this for my dad.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Bails that is such great news. Not just a job, but one that you can develop in the way YOU think best. And you will be teaching the young people - maybe not the conventional curriculum but I'm sure something about life, emotional literacy, the things that really matter. Having been kicked, sworn at and generally mistreated (by a six year old!) at school over the last couple of weeks I'm beginning to think that a) I'm not paid nearly enough and b) that children need a very different curriculum now to help them cope with life. The youngsters you'll be working with will certainly need what you can offer them.

Well done Spirit and Emmalis and Poohbear!:T :T

Interview went well, thanks everyone - won't be doing any teaching which is a bit of a downer but on the plus side I'll be getting into a pastoral care role (which is another aspect of my job I sorely miss). So you're now looking at the new School Liaison Worker for the Paediatric ME team. Sounds v fancy, not really but hey it's a start! I can work as little or as much as I like (starting on 2 hours a week and see how it goes) and it's basically an area which is completely underdeveloped ie noone's been doing it! so I get to build it up from scratch. So not jumping for joy, and still on the lookout for some teaching hours, but looking forward to it.

Hey well done. It is disappointing that you won't be teaching , as that is where your heart lies. But you will be doing something invaluable. These kids are going through hell (as are their parents) and they need you.
You also get to test the water with your health and build up nice and slowly a working structure to your life. If this goes well then it can only help you get the work you truely want in the future. It would be grim to take on teaching now and find it was too much too soon. And who knows what contacts you might make in this new post and where it might lead in the future.

    And a fabulous 2lb weight loss. :j .

Well done to all the losers, very motivating to see everyone doing so well :j
A bit o/t but does anyone know anything about mps players/ipods or can recommend one they have? Thought if I got one it might help getting me walking further! I know nothing about them, and whether there is a difference between the two? I'm only in my 30's but feel so out of touch where technology is concerned.
Anyway off swimming in 10mins, see if I can beat my 1/2lb loss next week.......

  • Thanks peeps for trying to jolly me along.

Know I must just keep going. Today I ate breakfast-special K. lunch -banana and 2 slices bread and chicken, dinner - HM chicken and veg soup. Drank coffees (no sugar) and water with lemon and ginger. Fairly typical day but do sometimes sneek in a bit of choccie!!

Think I need to up exercise as other than walking as I dont drive that is about my lot:j

Get down as I was always about 10 stone til my 1st DD, lost baby weight ok but with normal ammount of effort, then DD2 and since then (7 years ago) I am pretty much stuck around the 13 stone mark:(

I have made a pact with self to try A LOT harder until Xmas then reassess if still stalling.

Will try a food diary as suggested above.

Can I just say thanks to everyone who posts here as your ups (and downs) do make me feel less alone in this:wink:
