Happy to report a 2.5lb loss at WI last Weds, just need to wait and see what happens tomorrow night now as the first stone is sooooooo close. You watch though, this is where my bad weeks come and bite me on the arris again!!!!!

Not much time today, have a sea of unread emails to get through (I mean what do people expect, me to actually do my job when I'm in the office?!!!! Hehe) will post my answers to the swap box questions tomorrow!!!

Congrats to all you losers, big hugs and positive thoughts for all those struggling at the mo

  • afternoon all!

first off, have a 0.8kg gain to report. And yes, I enjoyed every last gram of it. Must do better this week. Also have a uilty confession to make which is kind of related to the gain. I made those choc chip cookies from nigella. Which explains everything. Granny, you are SO right about WON'T power. If anyone is considering it, this may help . .

the total syn count for the batch is 221
if you make 12 like Nigella does, each cookie is 18 syns
I got 23 out of the batch and they still came in at about 10 syns each.

On the plus side I did her white bean mash for tea last night and it was yummy, so I'll stick that on the recipes thread.

Sounds like you are all having fun with your swap boxes. The budget is what makes it so fun I find, it's much more challenging trying to maximise your box than just buying whatever takes your fancy. Here's my list . . .

    Fave colour - purple
Interests - history, cooking, bit of gardening, lots of reading, sewing and things with sheep or westies or poodles on them

Go 'Gene' - congrats on your loss with SW. lots of other well dones too, and welcome to our new peeps. Queenie, Fab is one of my favourite words too! laters all

    xx

bails~sorry to hear about the class. You are braver than me to leave though!

Thanks Beanielou and Serendis! Before my illness Beanielou, I would never have left a class early - it wasn't easy today, but I've learnt it's important to do what's best for yourself, even if that is at the expense of others (and their feelings) sometimes. That may sound harsh but I was a complete people pleaser before and it made me very ill in the end.

Serendis, I'm down but not beaten, have already planned in some different classes to try this week (and am trying to keep my eyes off the Salsacise and spinning type classes that I would love to be doing - one day...:j)

My mum just popped round with - wait for it - two full beetroot cakes and two ridiculously lardy chocolate muffins!!!!!!!!!! I have consumed a fair bit of beetroot cake, grrr!! My mum and I have food issues, long story, but she does this and it frustrates the hell out of me!! Anyway, I've put them away now on the top of the cupboard and they WILL stay there :D If I still feel like it tomorrow I might allow myself a muffin... If only I hadn't just had that pants class, my resolve would've been stronger, but onwards and upwards of course:rolleyes:

Well done losers, keep 'em coming!

    charley welcome:D

No the scales are going back to argos, they are useless and too time consuming to set and re-set, waste of money, boots tells me this morning that I have lost 1.5lb quite simply due to feeling rough last week with the cough, cold, shivers and shakes:rotfl: all better now so it is all good:D

Hi guys. Have just made fat free sponge, not bad really considering, will have to work out points but basically is 3large eggs and 4oz sugar whisked until really fluffy and bubbly, then fold in 4oz of flour. This made 24 fairy cakes, as I can account for these easier than if I made big one.

Made cinnamon & raisin bagels yesterday. Made them to work out at 2 points each, delicious they are too, and kids love them.

Home made, fat free curry and naan for tea. Naan about 3 points and curry only points for quorn and the rest is free veg and curry powders and spices!

bails - can you freeze the cakes? Delays the eating of them ;)

jenpoptab - fatless sponge - sounds good - but if I made fairy cakes I'd want to ice them :D Are they very obviously different from the usual sponge cakes?

vickyj - I don't suppose you'd have the calories and saturated fat per portion/ 100g available for the stollen cake?

I've looked up a recipie online and it was 4.5 points per portion. Tesco Stollen is 1.5 points per 1oz serving. Maybe you can work it out from there?
THANK YOU DELLY i dared not look at the NI at the time but wishing i had now. TBH i am guessing i ate prob about 15 points worth YUMMY. but it was good :-)
i am deciding wether my points may have leaked out through the cut side of stollen and i think maybe they did so not soo bad after all :-)
:D The glass is always half full, no exceptions !!:D

I was thinking of this whilst I was out shopping for my swap box, and as I try to get the metre right, my head goes from side to side, and strangely enough no one sat beside me on the bus home i754b9.gif
