    Evening all :hello:

Sorry, I know I haven't been posting much recently, but I have been reading posts so I'm still in the loop as they say.

If you've been unlucky enough to get me in the swap boxes, then I feel sorry for you - all my friends and family say they find me really difficult to buy for, but I don't know why, as I can always find nice things to buy for myself, specially when I'm supposed to be shopping for presents for other people!

Anyway, if you are the (un)lucky person that got me in the draw, then I hope this helps. If you've already done your shopping, just ignore it, and be assured that I'll appreciate it whatever it is.

Fave colour - purple (or pink or blue)
Interests - gardening, nature, wildlife, reading, sudoku, films, music, the internet, (I'm not at all arty or crafty.)
Fave food - pasta, curry, stilton, fish, seafood
Fave activity - relaxing with a good book in the bath, with posh bubble bath, scented candles, glass of wine, followed by a full body massage!

I hope that helps. I did my swap box shopping at the weekend, and the hardest part was keeping to the budget - there were loads of lovely things that I'd have bought if money was no object!

  • Just posting with my weight loss for this week - managed 3lbs despite an apalling effort towards the end of the week! Trouble is when this happens I get lulled into a false sense of security - am gonna have to try really hard next week.

Love reading some of your meal plans, it's so easy to get stuck in a rut so will be trying some of your ideas - Bails your weekly menu sounds fab!

Have bought my daughter a dance mat for her birthday - what a fab way to exercise! Only trouble is I have to wait till she gets to school to get a turn:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wishing everyone a good week :j

P.S. Where'd you get all the fab smileys from?

beanilou. As a child, I always said the prayer to my guardian angel, but as an adult I let things go. However, I was off work in November/December 2004 when a few events took place to bring Angels back to my attention (we'd been trying unsuccessfully for 3 years to have a baby). I took great interest in finding out about Angels (bought a couple of books and Angel cards). The main theme was, your Angel can't help you unless you ask (something to do with free will) but when you do ask for help, whatever help it is you need, you have to let it go and not worry about it and your solution will come to you

For example: . I had my appointment with my Consultant re: the infertitlity on 11th January 2005 and was taken off all meds so that I could lose weight for the next treatment (ovulation induction) and I felt that since there was very little else I could do, I gave it over to my guardian Angel to help me with and proceeded to forget about it. I was pregnant with DS by 14th February 2005 (how's that for working fast!).

I now have a trinket box with an Angel figurine on top. If I'm worried about something, I'll write it on a piece of paper and put it into my worry box and leave it with the Angels. So far- so good! If you want to try it out, the easiest one is to ask for a parking space if you're late for an appointment etc. I've even asked my Angel for help in getting to appointments on time - every single traffic light on that particular journey turned green as I approached.

I've heard of Cosmic ordering but never found out much about it. It's probably a similar thing, expressed in a different way.

  • Ok - like Lois, my family think that I'm hard to buy for, but I think not, so some ideas for the poor sod who has me!

Favourite food: cheese (not smelly blue stuff though), chocolate, crisps

Favourite colour: green (best with the red hair!).

Favourite movie of all time: Gone with the Wind,

Hobbies: I love to read, walk the fluffy ginger pigdog, bake, and as you can tell over the past few days, I'm interested in Angels and Yoga. And I quite enjoy puzzles (even though they drive me mad!)

Other info: I'm like bails - allergic to quite a lot of smelly stuff (especially lavender! go figure!) so that's a risk I wouldn't take.

    Good Morning Peeps

2vsrji8.gifto the lovely new peeps pumpkinpie and Charley Farley (BA?) I wish you both success, but it's up to you what goes into your mouths so make sure you get your willpower in good working order!!...

...Well done to a1969baby :j rachelja :j and Queenieviolet :j keep it up!! Rach - I find that when I've had an energetic week, the loss is never what I expect, but comes the following week, so hopefully next week will show the benefit :D ...

...Delly I hope you're feeling a bit better today , I've loved reading your posts about Angels, do they help people to believe in them? Please tell us more. As for your brother, he is the one with the problem, he should think about you and your OH, you haven't asked for what is yours out of malice but through need...

...Re the swap box thingy, please don't worry, none of us is expecting a cornucpia of goodies. I agree with what Bails said yesterday, I'm just looking forward to something coming through the post for me (that isn't junk mail) and like Lois, it's keeping within the limit that's the problem! I just hope that someone hasn't managed to find the bargain of a lifetime and puts the rest of us to shame :rotfl: ...

...A joke as just told to me by DD...The sale of condoms fell dramatically in Paris at the weekend, when it was found that you only needed one Jonny to **** a load French :j :j :j :o:o:o (I didn't send her to convent school to learn language like that:D )

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
  • good morning :j

thanks for the lovely welcomes yesterday, unfortunatley couldnt reply as was at A&E for a few hours only to be told to come back tomorrow as they'd just had a trauma come in and the waiting time would be 6-7 hrs and advised to call an ambulance if things got worse!!

had a tiny piece of leaf in my eye that was extremely sore and couldnt get it out, its still there now so im off to the drs soon to get it checked out

anyway, enough rambling, weighed in this morning at 11st 5lbs and am raring to get cracking. want to lose about a stone in time for xmas so i hope i can stick at it and not pig out too much before then :o

have had breakfast which was muesli, skimmed milk and a few blueberries....around 300 cals in total. got 1500 a day to use up so hopefully it wont be too bad.
