Hi everyone
Very quiet on here this weekend, I guess everyone is busy doing other stuff!
My son is home from Uni for the weekend, but at the moment is glued to the rugby
I've had a great week diet wise and am hoping for a decent sized loss on monday.. I've obviously still got tomorrow and Monday to go, but I'm feeling quite positive.
On the subject of comfort food now the weather is getting chillier, tonight I had a mushroom stroganoff, made using a schwartz packet mix (currently free with a large punnet of mushrooms in the co-op) it was really yummy, warming and very filling served with rice. On SW it is 5.5 syns per sachet on a Green or Red day, and supposed to serve 4 :rotfl: but did loads and loads for 2 of us! I shall be definitely using it again.
I have also had spicy beans this week, another filling comfort food, great with Jacket spuds or rice, and of course also free on a SW Green day.

Hi all - haven't posted for a couple of days and have kinda fell off the wagon today and yesterday. Was my daughter's birthday which has meant lots of party food and a day out to venue which only serves fast food - no excuse really but just couldn't help myself!
Now feeling reall annoyed with myself but know I need to forget it and get back to my diet tomorrow.
Realised this lapse has conincided with not logging on - perhaps hours trawling forums is a weight loss plan - it takes my mind off of eating...lol:D
Hope everyone is having a better week.1% challenge - £4018 - reduce by 100 payments of £41.0 -

WhaT a fantastic day for sport not only did we win at football but nail biting in the end we won at rugby:j :j the atmosphere at wembley was a bit flat, once we got to 3-0 all the crowd stopped singing and just thought about getting home (huge numbers left early to beat the rush) and it felt like a sunday league match rather than wembley but we won and that is the main thing and then it was home to the rugby:D
Even better no X factor on so I didn't have to sob quietly in the corner in sympathy of the ones sent home, H says he is banning me from watching it as I get too emotionally involved and don't even know these people:rotfl: :rotfl:
Tonight I am having cook yourself thin healthy roast, the Kids and H love it and say that it is better done that way without all the fat and Yorkshires etc, the only thing I do have is a little gravy and a bit of the skin, naughty I know but the tray of oven roasted veg (butternut squash, red onion, aubergines, courgettes, any veg you can roast is fat free) my H loves the pots roasted in their skins, says they are the best he has had so it is an all round success, even the kids eat the butternut squash not really
knowing what it is... the video recipe is on the website of cook yourself thin and in Asda they sell the butternut squash frozen so saves all the cutting up etc....fantastic recipe and very healthy, looking forward to it already, the chicken is so lovely when you put the lemon/thyme/rosemary rub into the top of it....
I read on a website that if you go out to dinner or fancy a dessert the best way to approach it is to order it and have the first spoonfull and then get into a conversation and let others have a bit and then look forward to the last spoonfull as they are the only two you remember the first and the last so that way you are having a dessert, you feel as if you are not deprived and that you have had something indulgent and lovely but you have also have saved on calories because you only had the two memorable spoonfulls-first and last, try it it might work!!0 -
Morning all
Queenieviolet try not to be annoyed with yourself! It was only one day, and it was your daughters birthday after all
victory your roast sounds lovely. I like the tip about the pudding when you eat out too, not sure I have the willpower to do it
I'm off to the cinema this morning, followed by lunch out.. thinking of going to Nando's so I can have chicken, which will be fine on a red day.... then dropping my son off at the station to go back to Uni.
Hope everyone has a good day!0 -

Happy un-birthday delly, hope your on the mend.
If its any consolation my dad had his gall bladder out and it doesn't seem to have impacted his food intake one little bit...which is a shame really as he goes through phases of cooking like the two fat laydees
Been hard at work digging up my garden....just looked it up and even calling it moderate strength (I'm digging subsoil and clay so it ain't easy!) three hours burns 1000 cals ....its fantastic as I'm really enjoying myself....(apart from the bugs and slugs.....uch a fi) ..not going to log it on my activity tracker though just in case its not true and so I can keep a true measure of non-normal excercise.
righteo hi ho hi ho its off to work i GO..la la la lah....0 -

Happy Birthday for yesterday Delly!
Had no internet, I'm afraid - just got it back now. Hope you had a lovely day and are feeling a little better.
BB, I did take my own advice and went for an hour-long walk, it was lovely in the first autumn leaves. I'm so happy that we've moved here because we're right on the edge of the countryside so I can get my fix! (Long-term plan is to move right out into the country once OH finishes uni, which considering he's a London boy is quite an achievement!) I also went out on my mountain bike (brand new 2 1/2 years ago and never been able to use it- only up and down our road for a few minutes but I was whooping like a mad'un! Being sensible and taking it easy today, although the good news is that I don't seem to have had a kickback from the yoga, just a little normal muscle ache:D
That roast sounds yummy Victory, I miss having them as OH is veggie and we overdosed on roasted vegetables a while back! Maybe time for another go... And how fantastic was the sport yesterday! The footy was lame after the first 30 mins but we won so that's the main thing, but the rugby...:jOh my god, I was on the edge of my seat screaming at the TV (OH frightened the cat off into another room!). I can't believe we're through, absolute quality!!! Gonna check out tonight's game to eye up the opposition... in both senses of the word, lol!
Well done on the gardening Serendisglair, and how great that you're loving it too! Your exercise log sounds cool, is that the one through your gym? And as for successfully negotiating clothes shopping AND getting your pressie sorted... I am not worthy!
Queenieviolet, you're back now and that's the main thing - it was only a little blip so don't be too hard on yourself, just try hard for the rest of your week.
Finally, thank you once again to you all for your support the other day - I am well and truly back on the wagon and very happy about it! I couldn't have done it without you :grinheart

Wow Bails...that menu plan sounds almost god enough to turn a carnivore. glad youre back on form...
I had a lovely lunch of a veggie bean burger topped with an avocado salsa (avocado mushed with lime juice and a chopped spring onion) it was mean't to be topped with a little thai sweet chilli sauce but the squeegy bottle is usless...and it exploded all over the burger....mmmm....good job I love the stuff!!! warmed the roll up in the oven too! followed it with a nice bit of fruit and a yogurt...think I've prety much covered my colour target for the day already (the more brightly coloured food you can pack in the more vits etc you're getting....hence eat a rainbow :-) ,,,unfortunately I don't think jelly counts and I'm wondering if anyone else sees a bit of brown in every rainbow.....bit of choccy wouldn't go amiss at all)0
