    :(:(:(:(:(

Oh dear Dellybelly, I need to say
I'm so so sorry I forgot your day.
How does it feel being 21?
As good as the first time and lots of fun?
I hope your tummy is on the mend,
Happy unbirthday from your virtual friend

    Hugs from Grannynise

It's ok Seren: the brown is the earth at the end of the rainbow that contains the buried crock of gold :D

Bails: so glad you got out for your walk AND you bike. That's really positive. It's so fantastic to use your body when you been unable to isn't it. The simplest things are so fantsatic, and nothing IMHO.gifbeats kicking up autumn leaves.
Also glad you're being a sensible girlie and taking it easy today. And excellent no kickback from the yoga. You are definitely reclaiming your body :T

Suggs - hope your boys birthday weekend with you went well and proved you've recovered from the no so good family holiday experience.

Lois: I love your new avatar. I tried putting a new one in but it wouldn't accept it. NO idea about these things so can't fix it. Thought it may have been too big, but piccy was smaller than Pet's gorgeous Alphonse.
Must sort out Sain shop and next two weeks menu now...should be going for walk in the sunshine. I'll regret it later if I don't. (Just do it...just do it...)

    bb

Oooh Granny - another poet star in the making:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hi everyone I'm new to this thread & have just started to try to lose some weight after when seeing the doctor about scan results after he suspected polycystic ovaries he told me that i needed to lose some weight then things may go back to normal. The only help he gave me was to get off my bum and exercise no helpful healthy eating plan or advice to point me in the right direction just get off your fat bum. I'm only 5ft tall and was 14st 6lbs in a size 18. In 4 weeks I managed to lose 10lbs but this week due to a sick toddler & a funeral I managed to put on 3lbs. Hopefully i will get back to the diet. My big probs are that I don't like salad or vegetables or spicy foods. Salad & veg taste like grass & spicy foods don't agree with me. I need to lose the weight as I am trying for another baby and feel my weight is not helping there & I am going to be bridesmaid for my sister in Aug 09 & don't want to look like a short sack of spuds in a pretty dress.

Hopefully now I've found you guys I can stay focussed. I've also asked dellybelly if i can join the 2lb weight loss club which I am hoping will help a bit.

23_34_1.gif sorry this is late Delly but well meant all the same!

*sigh* I have just updated my sig line after weighing in this morning and instead of losing weight I am PILING it on!
36_1_4.gif - because of the move we (Mark and me) have been surviving on junk food and pub grub! I aim to start again tomorrow *sigh*, weight loss vibes would be appreciated folks!

  • sorry emmalis I just re-read my post and sounded well pompous :p

I shall attempt to re-phrase...my OH thinks green veg tastes like grass but will quite happily munch down carrots and red peppers or sweetcorn...

    what is your favourite food?
If you try a plan like slimming world then food such as pasta is free on a green (mainly carbs) day or lots of meat and eggs feature in ther red (carninvourous) days. What sort of excercise are you going for if any?

Plenty of vibes on the way dragon; At least you have moved now so you can concentrate more on getting back on track...stock up on lots of potatos and bean or something as then you have some quick meals to help avoid the junk

Thanks serendis - I'm actually planning on plenty of soups (canned to start with - then gradually make my own as we get sorted), oh and next weekend my "exercise" plan can start again
4_18_7.gif tonight though is another pub grub night as DH went to sort out the last of the bits at the old flat and didn't get to Sainsburys in time!

emmalis, PCOS makes it harder to lose weight unfortunately, you need to limit your carb intake because one of teh side effects of PCOS can be insulin resistance ( I've done an awful lot of reading up on the subject because my sister has it and there is a possibility I may develop it).

The best sort of diet you can follow is a low GI/GL diet. I follow the Rosemary Conley diet which is Low GI. My OH is a pain with veg and salad, I often end up cooking something slightly different for me.

hi its ok didn't think u sounded pompous at all. I do eat carrots, pots & mushrooms but thats about as far as my veg intake goes. My fav foods are all the things i shouldn't have like lasagne with lots of cheese on top & garlic bread, roast dinners, pizzas. I love pasta but usually have a huge bowl with either crispy bacon & cheese or tuna mayo & cheese. My big downfalls are chocolate & cheese obviously not together & desserts. Have done WW at home before and lost about 2 1/2 stone but can't afford to the fees for these as things are pretty tight for us cos I am not working at the moment as I'm a full time stay home mum to a 2 year old daughter my sister keeps promising to send me the stuff from when she did it last but I never get it. Been quite gd recently though I've been having edam instead of cheddar as its lower fat & had things like gammon steaks, steamed fish, spag bol & the odd ww ready meal. Since i've had my little one my car stays in the drive & i walk most places pushing the pushchair. My mum's just converted one of her out buildings into a gym so far managed to get in there once cos she's 15 miles away, she's also given me the liberty x workout dvd which is really hard but I'm perservering with it when i get time. You'd think really that running around after a 2 year old & a messy hubby i'd be stick thin but unfortunately doesn't work like that. Wish it did!!
