I tried ww cheesescake- delicious! despite the vege gel not setting properly, recipe asks for gelatine but we are vegetarian so used substitute. Full of flavour, very tangy raspberry jelly topping so overall a success. Hi Delly (and everyone else of course!)
Thanks for posting the Paul McKenna stuff, I remember that a lot of it made sense. I'm intrigued by the point in the solar plexus - does it hurt if you press it or something (OH does shiatsu, this is a good indicator in that) or is it a feeling?
Emotional eating is at the heart of many weight problems - the weight is the symptom not the cause of people's unhappiness, and the difficulty is getting to the root cause/s. I have had disordered eating my whole life and I have spent the last year finally getting to grips with why. I won't lie, it's not been easy but so, so worth it! As for the boredom factor, I can relate only too well!! I'm also a creative but not crafty lefty. I just made a card for my OH the other day - used one of the photos from our hol (of two leaves looking like a heart in the sand - :ohere's the bucket) and mounted it. I was going to make the card itself but then found a pack of 10 blank cards and envelopes in The Works for £1.50. I thought I might have a go at Christmas cards if I can take a winter scene in time ...
How's everyone else doing this morning?
I'm up, showered and dressed, sipping on a hot lemon and contemplating a yoga class!!!! I'm a bit scared in case it's too much (this attitude would've made the Old Bails fall about laughing:rolleyes:) but if I leave soon I can have a chat with the instructor before it starts.
Wish me luck! Have a good day all xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I know the avocados high on the SW listbut I think this little number should be an exception to a rule as it is so so good for you. so long as you only have it once or twice a week I don't think it would do much harm to the diet. especially as it's so creamy it can reduce the need for any other fats in a dish. It may be this logic though which makes it harder for me to accept eating plans wholeheartedly.

Bails...if the class gets too much just have a lie on the floor and have a little snooze...also take a gas mask...I've heard yoga can release certain winds0

:rotfl:Now where did I put my WW2 relics box?;)
I'm with you on not being able to follow plans wholeheartedly re things like avocado - that's why I think Patrick Holford is the answer for me. It may be high in fat but it's good fat - don't start eating 20 a week but still enjoy them I reckon (for any sceptics, it took me a long time to think like this too!).
Oops, better get going on I'll miss the class anyway! The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

If it helps bails...I just had a look on my gym software and 40 minutes of yoga at a very weak level will burn about 188 calories (based on my weight as a reference)...not bad! Hope the class goes well for you0

Hi Bails,
glad you're feeling better today. I'm also glad to hear you're giving yoga a go too. I LOVE yoga. I haven't been since April and I really notice the difference in how it makes me feel, react to situations, hold myself physically and even breathe. I miss it but can't afford to go back until my OH goes back to work. As for the particular yoga fragrance, my instructor usually has a joss stick lit but I've never noticed anything before - I've always held it in until after class myself (couldn't bear the shame ) or ran for the loo before the relaxation at the end.
As for the solar plexus thing. It's not so much a place that's sore when you press, it's just a feeling you get when you've eaten a meal consciously. If you eat slowly, chew every mouthful etc. you get a "feeling" in between your ribs that if you put one more bite into your mouth you'll throw it up.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

well done nat:j :j :j
I am expecting a weight loss this week as have been off food due to tonsilitis, cold, shivers and shakes but am willing myself better because tomorrow I am off to the footie at Wembley and then straight back to watch rugby on the tele so need to feel better fast;)
Had a chicken WW soup today or rather chunky soup meal, frozen and then you microwave it,it was not chunky at all:eek: is 163 calories or 2 1/2 points and it was just slush and has made me feel hungry as it was a waste of time,it had one piece and one piece only of chicken it it!!, so may have to have something else:rotfl: :rotfl:
Just been reading this weeks best mag and in it is Liz Hurley, she is well known for her watercress soups that she eats all the time when she has a fashion shoot coming up etc but this surpasses it she says "if I stop drinking all alcohol and eat very little dinner, such as a slice of toast with marmite and an apple for a week, then my stomach will definetly become flatter" oh Liz, then you wonder why the kids of today sometimes have such difficulties with their food, when celebrities are advocating such a ridiculous way of becoming thinner...0
