Well, I did continue with prioritising the next 3 tasks, then the next 3, as I progressed through the day & am feeling more in control. As well as the stuff mentioned previously, I've done my mid-month budget check-in, moved some funds around to keep budgets straight, updated the grocery budget & my money book, re-imbursed myself some money I was owed, wrapped 2 parcels using materials from my recycled wrappings box, studied latest energy bill & submitted a refund claim, contacted bank about small problem, made a list of useful things to do in town tomorrow while I have the car & an opportunity to park for free, the laundry is getting nicely dry on the heated airer, tomorrow's packed lunch is made, a bit more of a Christmas present sock has been knitted, a whole heap of other non-money related stuff has also been done, & I've lined up some more blanket squares to knit tonight.
I'm out & about a fair bit tomorrow, but at least I know I'm on top of the budget again, if nothing else!
Sorry you've been poorly & feeling low, Ziggy. I had 2 shocking colds early this year. Surprising how they can wipe you out. Try & spend tonight doing at least a couple of nice relaxing things.....crafting, or a nice soak in the bath, or a magazine & your feet up. "This too will pass" as they say.
Cheers all,

Late check in for me today, I came on this morning but couldn't find the thread and didn't want to start another as I was concerned I would duplicate like last week - I don't know where I was looking - must not have been fully awake;)
Today I have:
Worked from home, but sneaked out for breakfast (which I was kindly treated to by a lovely friend)
Lots of work when I was back
Washing on radiators when on, another load overnight tonight already on cheap
DW loaded for cheap tonight
check banking, surveys and FPL
Left over roast for lunch, pimped up by a bit of broccoli
DDs had last of a sweet treat from a few weeks ago for pudding as a treat
cut up apple that returned in DD lunchbox (minus 1 bite) and put in freezer
Donated something to a friend for decluttering
See if I can find my paper tax return and fill it in (can't do this particular one on line)
If I can do ^^ see if I can do my actual return, or at least start it
More knitting
Right, off to do some jobs as it's earlier than I thought

I've got a lot I want to get done today but going to start on the quiet stuff otherwise the kids will be bouncy around and I'll get nothing done, so I better make the most of them being asleep, at least for the next half hour!
Today's list
* Email school re hospital appointment tomorrow
* Check banking/update spreadsheet
* Check mileage
* Go to the gym to make the most of the membership
& refill water bottle there
* Shower but let hair dry naturally, will also use some products from the bathroom useup box
* Make rice pudding with the kids later, will add in a can of coconut milk from the use up box
* Cook m&S bargain chicken
and prep veg for tonight
* Check lucky phone
* General clean round and tidy
* Finish off cleaning up yanke candle jar and decide what I'm going to use it for
* Clear desk and file anything that needs it
* Washing
and radiator shuffle
* Iron only what needs it, just hang the rest away
* Dishwasher on quick wash
* Make a date cake
* Make tomorrows packed lunches
* De-junk email inboxes
That's enough to start with I think!
Have a good week all
Some things will just have to wait until tomorrow as the bike thing took on a life of its own! I've been looking into new bikes as one of the kids has a cycling thing at school and I didn't think he bike was suitable, started looking on Friday and we are looking at £120ish (this was something I was thinking we'd be buying next spring/summer possibly not now.) so I've been thinking on it all weekend and it was on my mind this morning which is why I was up early, my dad came and adjusted the seat up as far as it could (I couldn't get a good grip to do it :eek:) the brakes werent working right and the tyres weren't right (even after spending 1hr + checking for punctures) so I've taken it to Ha1fords and they're going to service it for me, he thinks its will be £50 + a couple of parts which is still more then I'd like to spend but I'd rather get it sorted that way and then kiddie 1 can use it into next yr and kiddie 2 will have a bike in good nick to move up onto rather then spending much more money now (as it wouldn't have been a xmas pressie as all that was already done!)Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Katy-Ann if you have the baby on Wednesday he or she will share the same birthday as my DS. Just a thought

So up early but late on here. 20 minutes spinning/10 minutes weights at home to save paying for gym class, meatballs for tea plus some meatballs out of freezer that were left over from last time, 4 hours at job no. 1 and 2.5 hrs on job no. 2. Was going to do a bit more but just too tired.
Car been into the garage for new plugs and coil pack which I am told will not be too expensive, thank goodness.
Just hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor, a few bits of clean washing to put away and my office to tidy then I am about done for the day I think. I scrubbed the bathroom this morning so I am slightly ahead of myself which is good.0 -
Hi everyone!
Hope I can just join in?
This week I am going to;
- keep to my menu (lots of home made goodies in there!) so no more food shopping this week
- get rid of my overdrafts so that I am not tempted to go into them
- only put the heating on for a couple of hours in the evening
- NOT A BUY A NEW DRESS FOR THE STAFF PARTY NEXT WEEK (that is a hard one!)
I can't think of anything else, but it's a start
Hope you're all having a great week

Hi everyone

What a busy and exhausting day. Bagged another nsd as I've been non stop. The behaviour at school is atrocious at the moment. It's been a long term and we're not quite close enough to Christmas yet to see the end in sight. Some of my usually best behaved kids were rotten today. And I had a bad night's sleep last night so I'm not in the mood for it anyways...
Other than that, checked my banking, took packed lunch to work, haven't used any heating as it's quite warm again. Minimal housework, marked a set of exam papers and now just chilling before bed. No knitting or crochet today though - I make mistakes when I'm tired so best not to try.Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
