My uni didn't want the barcoded sheet, they wanted to see the notification that came before it... And I still have no payment
Not panicking yet, I have money to live on for this week and probably most of next, but unfortunately I don't have an overdraft to fall back on, and the rent is due on 15/10. Guess I'd better call them if it isn't sorted by the end of the week lol

Do you have to apply for a loan each year or is it automatic? I can't remember receiving any application forms - I'm just going into my second year0
-
You have to apply every year, although it's tending towards being done on the internet instead of in paper form. At least, that's the case in Scotland which likes to do things differently than everywhere else.0

I'm exactly the same, supposedly it should hit my account on the 1st, aka Monday. I'm a bit stressed though since I'm not actually in the country (on an Erasmus year), and therefore haven't physically enrolled at my home uni with the letter etc, (Though I did do it online), so hopefully it'll be ok, but we'll see come Monday! If not trans-European skyping will be going on methinks.......I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

I enrolled last Thursday (third year).
The process was a little confusing however, my Uni adopted a "fast track" and "express" enrolling system which you queued up in depending on your circumstances (that they'd determined beforehand by sending a form home to you).
I was in the express queue as my loan had been "confirmed" apparently and I don't need to pay any tuition fees, so enrolment was nothing more then just queuing up for 5 minutes, handing the form in, then being shunned out of the door.
They didn't ask for my payment schedule letter (which I didn't have, the SLC decided to send it to my home address one day before enrolment ) and the lady said it "would be fine".
same here - which i knew was not gonna happen as i havent even had my final, barcoded letter yet!! (apparently it took over a month to confirm parental/spose info...ahem)
luckily i work full time and i've had my expenses this week otherwise i'd be REALLY broke (pay day is end of the month so i'll be fine until the loan comes through)0 -
Still no loan
Refuse to panic about it, I have some money coming through from the sale of my car on Monday (had no use for it while at uni, and kinda objected to it sitting collecting dust!!), and I'm due some back-pay from work the week after... Its just bloody annoying!! And, having phoned SLC, it appears they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot!!
