Morning all
Been to hairdresser - had a "refresh" rather than full colour which saved me £20. Doing some paid stuff now. Washing dried over airer with dehumidifier going overnight.
Well done on the bingo win Katy-Ann!0 -

enjoy your day. Is DD settled in her place now?
It's chucking it down here, which may help actually. It's the last day of the fair and we've still not been, but DD is keen to go but in this weather it would just be awful, so hopefully that will save us. Other things:
Check banking, surveys, FPL and £co
Make pineapple cake
DD x 2 to dancing, subs to be laid but from their 'pot'
Meals from stores
Radiator shuffle at any point heating on today
Meal plan for next week
Movie and popcorn tonight I think after tea
Saved wrapping from pillows and another item that was delivered for fleabay sales
Relist some fleabay items
Think that's about all, enjoy your Saturday. PF.Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Hi all
DD not very well today, so home bound mostly.
- Nipped out to do an Market research this morning and got free breakfast
- listed 3 items on Facebook and have got 2 buyers coming this weekend
- bought a birthday and 2 Christmas presents online today and went via total cash back
- must start to look at car insurance quotes. I have 2 cars covered by the same insurance? Can you compare this online and factor in the second car discount into quotes??
- FPL
- seen another market research close by might do that this aft all being well
- watching a dress on eBay Next new with tags £20. I'm tempted as this is at least half the RRP if not more. Hmm might nip into Next and check out the sizing before I commit to buy!

Afternoon all

Up at 5 again coughing and wheezing - wish this cold would do one
Horrible wet day, but not actually raining too hard, so I walked to the post office with my trolley this morning to get some exercise and fresh air. Popped into Mr S with a short list, and took along a couple of bags of sugar for the food bank donation point in store. I over bought sugar when I was doing a lot of preserving a few weeks ago, which didn't matter, as it keeps ok in the larder, but sugar is one of the things the FB are particularly requesting this week, and I donate regularly, so this time I could do so without spending any extra
Apart from that:
All HM meals Jacket potatoes in the oven for dinner, HM coleslaw to go with them, plus a pork pie thing that OH bought (for some reason!) earlier in the week
Make leek and potato soup for lunches for the next couple of days - I have dug some leeks from the garden, so it won't cost much
Done, have a nice big pan of it
Heating off except for bathroom towel thingy and airing cupboard on the timer / thermostat (will light wood stove later though) Alight now, and toasting toes
Listed some things on ebay, no sales so far today
Relisted some things that didn't sell first time round
RM surveys tasks, they sent me a box and jiffy bag for packaging today, plus loads of paper for the printer
Tidied dining room - I can actually see the table now! :rotfl:
Put some sales stock in the garage to make everything seem less cluttered (I sell antiques and vintage items, and I like them, so don't mind stuff being around, but if there is too much it makes the place look like a junk shop
)
Better walk the dog now, before it gets too dark!0 -
Afternoon all,
Dawn, Sorry to hear that your still not feeling 100%.
LuckyPenny, £co is Quidco, cashback site
KatyAnn, A brilliant win last night!
Dnms, Good to hear that things currently ok with your DD.
Hi to everyone else
We have had a lovely day so far, it was raining very heavily over night but its been dry since we got up. We had quite a chilled start, lots of cups of coffee whilst the kids were doing their homework, listened to them read etc.
After that we popped into town, I went armed with my list of gift cards/balances and loyalty points values etc. Parked in the out of town car park and walked in so no carpark costs
In Bo0ts, I bought 2 bottles of shower gel that was cheaper then Mr T's at the minute, used £1 giftcard I had and £1 worth of advantage points so no cash spent
In Evans, I bought a pair of ear-rings that were £5 using a £5 gift card I'd had from surveys ages ago, will add these to my presents box (maybe part of my sisters 2017 xmas pressie as I'm sorted for 2016!!) again no cash spent
In WhSmiths, Dh bought a history book (we'd looked online and couldn't find it cheaper and it wasn't available at the library either) used a £5 gift card and £1 love2sh0p voucher from rm surveys - No cash spent
In newlook, bought 3 pairs of xmas socks (3 for 2) spent £4.98 using £5 gift card from B0unts, again this will go into 2017 xmas box! No cash spent
In Debenhams - Dh was in need for new work trousers, we've been looking for ages and our store didn't seem to have a big variety of the extra long leg ones available, we looked today and he got 3 pairs, they had a sale day on so it was 20% off them and I also used a £5 giftcard (can't remember where that one came from!) So £96 worth of work trousers cost me £71 (he very rarely buys clothes as he struggles to find them in a length he's happy with so I can't complain!)
M&s I had a £5.53 evoucher claimed from tcb, used this to buy one of there 2 dine for £10 meal deal things, bought a whole chicken, a flatbread thing, a family size apple pie and we went for the non alcohol option which was 2 bottles of a lemon presse, which the kids like. The chicken will do us for 2 dinners in the week, the apple pie will go with us to my parents for dessert tomorrow, the flatbread will go with our smoked paprika turkey & rice tonight, the kids have opened one bottle for this weekend and the 2nd bottle I've put away for xmas. £4.47 paid from our pocket
We had money on a vue gift card that we'd got at a reduced rate via dh's work perks, used this to book for us to go to the cinema next week to see the new JK Rowling film with the kids, £13 balance paid by cash from entertainment budget.
Saw that Iceland's 7 day offer is the kids fave pizza at £1 rather then £2.50ish, I had £4 love2sh0p vouchers left from rm survey so used them to buy 4 pizzas, this will cover their Friday night "pizza night" for the next month
So my purse is a lot lighter without these cards/vouchers in
Dh suggested having lunch out, I talked him into coming home instead, we finished off the last potatoes, and had jacket potatoes with beans/cheese for kids, I had mine with cheese, lettuce, cucumber and a bit of tomato puree and dh had some leftover tuna mayo with his. Dh even commented that he probably enjoyed it more then he would have enjoyed a mcd's or similar
Wrapped up now in fleece blanket, with a candle going and watching the rugby whilst the kids play
Other small things
* Checked luckyphone
* Claimed a gift card from tcb
* Claimed amazon gift card from mine & dh's £co
* Dishwasher run on the quick wash
* Washing machine on the quick 30 degree wash
* Will do the radiator washing shuffle later whenever we put the heating on
* Movie night with the kids and my niece
I think that's it for me.
Have a lovely weekend all (sorry its ended up being such a mammoth post from me!)

Bob, Did you ever get round to selling the Lego? If so how did you do it? Mine aren't using it much at all these days, I'm not getting rid yet but I just remembered you asking me about it before.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Wow lucky lady that's some haul, I love doing stuff like that

Up early with small, will maybe go back for an hour when rest of house gets up
today will mainly be at home, feel like we have lots of little jobs to do and I feel the need to get them done:
Make cake I didn't make yesterday, need eggs
Roast for tea, using lots of leftovers in freezer/ fridge
Sort some stuff for loft
Put said stuff in loft
Maybe get in the garden for an hour
Go for a run
Small shop at supermarket for week ahead
Finish last of washing on radiators
Get ready fir school tomorrow, uniform, homework, packed lunch etc...
Quick vac round
Got some dough in the breadmaker to make the swirls that are on page 1 here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/367959
May also make the apple plait and freeze when I've got some eggs later, couple of apples on the turn in the fruit bowl
Think that's about all. Enjoy your Sunday. PF.0 -
Morning all  :coffee:
1LL - you make me feel ashamed of how little I do at the moment. I fear I have fallen a long way off the wagon at the moment. That was a fantastic haul.
I managed a nsd yesterday, and a no computer day as well. Christmas is getting scarily close for my craft stuff so I had most of the day knitting and crocheting. Today is entirely dependent on dh and whether or not he commits to the plans he talked about. He wants to go out for a drive and for lunch (this will cost him rather than me though
) - we'll see if he still feels like that once he gets up later. It will be nice though - we don't do enough as a family. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
