Very retro I know, but what about pineapple upside cake? For example, http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5562/pineapple-upsidedown-cake

Doesn't matter if your pineapple is chunks rather than rings!

    That looks perfect. Thanks dawn
  • Morning all :hello: I'm up early as I've had a restless nights sleep and gave up about 4.30, mainly because it's payday and I was keen to do my big money shuffle before I go to work :D helped by a brew and peace and quiet whilst rest of house is sleeping. Apart from PF cat who came to give his assistance to the tune of wanted to sit on my lap as well as the ipad!

We didn't go to the fair yesterday, DD really does want to go but we maybe able to avoid it, so some pennies saved

    So today I have /will:
Check banking, update sheet and move money to various pots
Freezer dive for lunch to work, plus snacks and a hot drink for commute
    Check surveys and FPL
    Relist some items on fleabay
    Meals from stores
Maybe make pineapple upside down cake if I have time tonight
Some knitting for relaxation tonight, easier now I am past the 12  buttonholes as I don't have to count rows ;)
Update sheet with few presents I bought online yesterday
Skirting is finally being fitted in lounge/diner today :D, will be bake to use money from house pot rather than savings :D

Right, off to browse a few diaries. Happy Friday. PF.

I hear ya PF - love early mornings :)

I have had a couple of really annoying days at work - most annoyed yesterday when they said my car park space was being reassigned! I pay about £30 a month for this but now I will need to park on the street at £3 a day!!! And always have £1 or £2 coins! Sounds so petty that I am getting annoyed but the whole way they went about it was ridiculous.

Tonight we're off to a family party and then staying there all weekend - back Monday morning. Should be good. Free food and board and all that. :) I'm also going to nip to a pal's on Sat night so that should be nice.

Was hoping to sort the money transfer thingy for the car today but probably won't have time...

Need to go pack for the weekend. Take care mes amis!

    Happy Friday!

Oh, can I ask... to pay off my car they've given me bank details - sort code and a/c number - is there any way I can pay money into that a/c using my credit card? Maybe through pay pal??? I was thinking I would need a money transfer card (rather than balance transfer card) but is there another way? Just thinking that if I pay with credit card I can then move the balance as a balance transfer and that would be easier/more options available...

    Morning savers,
It's my day at home today and thank goodness because I'm worn out. Did a market research on the way home last night.
    - I've got another market research today - free lunch
    - Pick up 3 for 2 Argos toys and list 1 for sale
    - FPL
    - Look up Aldi super 6/meat offers and make a shopping list.
    - Go shopping: Home Bargains, Aldi And Morrisons to get the best deals
    - Post new eBay listings: books which I always find slow to move
    - Look for Elsa's crown! Selling a doll and I just know it's somewhere!
    - check ipoll and market research apps
Think that's it for me, LP x

I can't think of an easy way to transfer from a CREDIT card directly to a sortcode and account number.

Usually the only way you can pay a bill from a credit card would be to call the recipient and provide them with the 16-digit credit card number.

However, if the parking people accept PayPal you could link your credit card to PayPal and pay them that way.

Ultimately it come down to what methods of payment the parking company will TAKE from you, rather than what method you can use to GIVE them the cash.

However, do call your credit card company and ask for advice.

  • Happy Friday all :D
I have a later than usual start today as I have an appointment for physio this morning. Straight into work afterwards though. I've spent a bit of time prepping my stuff for next week's teaching so hopefully I'll have less to do over the weekend. It's been a busy week and I'll be very lucky to get away without bringing work home with me...
Other than that today will have to be a spend day as I need petrol. I'm home without the heating on though.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
La E sorry if im getting this wrong but if you have a money transfer offer on your CC you can just transfer cash from there to any bank account. Believe me I have used mine to pay electric, rates, rent in bad months. Even staff wages. It's great being your own boss (laughs manically) sorry about your parking space sounds very annoying.

Morning all :) Another day playing sitting duck waiting for baby to arrive! Not many plans for today, I'm going to try for a NSD, I've stupidly spent a silly amount of money over the last week! Todays list:

    - Check bank accounts
    - Drop a repeat prescription into the doctors
    - Go for a short walk
    - All meals from home
    - NSD
    - Swagbucks/My Survey/Nectar Canvas
    - Sort out the bedroom
    - Pack last minute things into hospital bag
    - Watch boxset

    Have a fab Friday everyone! :) x
