I'm owning up to a fail today: Well the Christmas shopping was an epic fail...i only came home with a pair of leggings for me :rotfl:
Slap my wrists someone. To make up for it, I'm putting the hunt for my new winter boots on hold until next month.
However, i did get some unexpected maintenance money for the children from their Dad, so that will go into their respective bank accounts, plus i allocate a little of it for household expenses (bills etc).
I have £300 sitting in my account and would like to clear of 1 of my credit cards with it (remaining balance on that one is only £204). I'm not 100% sure i can do that yet, but i hope so!0 -
Another NSD today. Two this week and five this month.
Bitterly cold so stayed in and had a really lazy day reading. We're expecting snow this evening.
Will have to go out tomorrow as I have to collect my presription from doctors. At least I'll get a badly needed walk.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Very, very cold here. Zumba class cancelled as boiler wasn't working but I was in work for a couple of hours this morning anyway - few extra £ earned
Sent OH to A1d1 whilst I was at work - spent £16.11, which makes our current food spends so far exactly £71This includes fresh veggies for the 3 g-pigs too - they are eating more at the moment where the weather is cold and the grass isn't growing.
As I spent on that I also paid for DS3's music lessons (£40 - but had to write a cheque - they don't take online payments) - will post tomorrow (already have stamp) Have also booked us an afternoon tea for later in the month - but as that's using a voucher I got for my bday (back in March!) that will only cost us fuel to get to the hotelx
ETA: lunch was leftovers and dinner was fish n chips from the freezer - fish was lovely but OH and I are not a fan of frozen/ oven chips and I usually make my own - but was using the freezer ones as they were bought for DD and no one else was eating them and I'd like some freezer space!
Planning stewed fruit for breakfast tomorrow (currently defrosting in fridge) then a quick snack later as we have a funeral to attend for 1pm, with burial at 2pm and wake c 2.30pm - am hoping that the bitterly cold rain we've had today disappears before the actual burial..I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Hi everyone
Did my sitting dgd this morning the car took ages to defrost its a good job I can leave it on outside whilst
I get ready, we are supposed to be having some snow tonight but hopefully it will miss us here!! I'm dgd sitting again tomorrow morning so I will have a quick look out the window when I get up to see if it's clear.
Anyway, another sfd today so that's
Sfd 7/13
Really pleased about it but it just shows how much stuff I have in and there's only me!!!
Breakfast porridge
Lunch cheese sandwich
Dinner egg and chips
Not a healthy day at all but I enjoyed the chips, I only bought them for when dgds are here but the seem to prefer mash and jacket potatoes so I'm working my way through them!!
Anyway off to do a few bits as I have guests coming tomorrow and they should arrive here about the same time I am back from sitting so need to make a cake and some twinks for a snack. I have made cottage pie for dinner tomorrow night followed by crumble and I'm being treated to breakfast on Thursday morning before they head off.

A NSD.
DS3 and Beloved have been exploring the limits of their relationship today - they put together a piece of flatpack furniture, so sweet.

Way too busy at work for a real life. It takes up every minute - and I can't wait until the next round of holidays. Desperate, and we've only been back 7 days
I fell into military last week without realising, and today has been nsd 7 this month. Quite pleased. Exercise also going well as my trainer has challenged me to 11000 steps a day. I do like a challenge. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
