Friday was nsd #3 but Saturday and Sunday were not. Food shopping n winter gear was needed. Today I'm back to nsd tho meaning I'm up to 4. I'm so impressed with all the good stuff happening here. Lots of money saving and exercise going on. I need to exercise but struggling with energy.

Welshkitty – I am so very sorry to hear your tragic news. It must have come as a terrible shock.

Stayed in today so had my first NSD of the week (four in total this month). Cooked meatballs in tomato and pepper sauce to have tonight with pasta (all from freezer or store cupboard )Taken out some pork steaks for tomorrow to do in cider and apples. I love hearing what everyone is cooking.

Managed to tick some things off my to do list but it's still got a long way to go. C bought me a lovley new notebook. I love notebooks (sad, I know)

C went back to doctor about his cold/cough which has now been hanging around for about six weeks. Doc has decided that he probably does need antibiotics to clear up an infection so at least we should all start to get some sleep again.

    Have a good evening, everyone.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Hugs Welsh Kitty.

Sticking with military but need to up my exercise. Food is fairly healthy (leftovers, cheese and bananas). Moved some craft items in to front room (will be on cube shelves when they get in there), homed the new crockery and pans, cleaned a worktop and set up a cordial corner with the slushymaker and told Beloved to put the paint cans under the table temporarily and use the cupboard for some more of the gadgets (dehydrator, mixer, blender, grill plate, thing which grates and makes sorbets, rice cooker + something else).

Books, clothes and technology are upstairs (think we have enough computer power to land aeroplanes) - DS3's room looks like an explosion has gone off but that's in a 'not my problem field'. Beloved has cooked spag bol (I was given leftovers).

We haven't had the ingredients conversation but they went shopping this morning (I did 16 hours embroidery and fell asleep around 8am) without checking what we had so now have 2 x frozen mince, onions, peas down to stock cubes and tinned toms. I haven't offered to pay for these items (yet?).

I keep going to check on my chinchilla grandchildren, they are lovely.

Being careful today as I seem to be self sabotaging - picked up a 2l bottle of water that had fallen off the shelves but didn't notice the 2l coke which went under the bed, soaked into the edge of the sheet and made a puddle (stood in it when I went to the bathroom). Since the sheet needed washing I used it to soak up the rest of the puddle. Also fell asleep doing a puzzle - book fell into the coke lake and I have some fetching purple felt tip tattoos on my chest - washed one off but the other is under my chin so noticed I had missed it later.

Plan to do a lot more sewing/ craft preparation and go for a walk.

Today I am grateful for lovely weather, for Beloved cooking and DS3 not having takeaway and for being worried about the freezer being too full - have got them working on the B & J ice cream.

    Hi turtles!

Thank you for all your kind words.

Spent a whopping £50 on sweets and chocolates today but am pleased to be able to say they are all for business purposes (apart from the ones I have to test for quality control purposes!) so it was a personal NSD.

Posted some eBay items (postage already paid for) and delivered a business order, so once the cash is paid in I can make another payment to the cc.

Wrapped all the Xmas pressies today, but have realised DD has more then DS so may need to get him another little something!

    Hello,

Wow loads of NSDs, crafting, selling and even Christmas present wrapping etc going on. Good start to week two. Keep going turtles.

Day three and i just had to keep busy. So got dinner ready, made Kartoffelsuppe (potato soup after my mum's recipe) and two portions of stovies for DH lunch this week. So far so good. Sweet consumption has gone up though. The Halloween stash is too big for the kids anyway ;)

Done in and full of the cold again, so sorry for the short post and see you tomorrow

Eager Elephant, have you tried celery instead of onions? I generally use a base of celery and carrots.
Same in this house, OH doesn't like onions, leaks or courgettes so i normally use celery and carrots.

Spendy day today as ordered fleecy pyjamas online and when I went to the shop to collect them I bought the worlds softest throw. These are both wants rather than needs but as I had the money available I thought I'd treat myself and be all snuggly in this cold weather. So far the joy they have brought has been immense (I really do like the simple things in life!)

I treated myself and OH to brushed cotton bedlinen last month and OMG i have never been so determined to wash and dry the sheets in one day so i can remake the bed in time for bedtime

without going back to the normal ones! The only problem..... neither of us want to get out of the bed in the morning.:rotfl:

Spendy day today, weekly shop was needed.
