Hi again - a bit later than anticipated - I've been told there are locations all over the country (for pamper treats) so no need to put them on the site. I didn't get my first or second choice and am waiting for someone to call me back as I don't need a gym pass- already a member! So yes it seems rubbish at the moment.

i asked for a massage or a manicure

they gave me a day pass for a Gym 25 miles away!

I am a Gym member and I would estimate there are upwards of 30 Gyms nearer to my home than the one they offered me.

Still waiting for them to get back to me - it's been a week so far.

One Big con and ... in my opinion ... a massive PR disaster for Sainsburys ... Tesco's Rewards are much more valuable (and seemlingly, in my experience anyway, transparent with minimal catches)
  • Yep, another disgruntled customer here who asked for a facial or pedicure and got a days out voucher. Went to see what was available and NOTHING at all anywhere even remotely close to me.

Oh well, stuff them, I'm changing energy suppliers in the next four weeks so wont be earning any more crappy nectar points anyway
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

I asked for an Indian Head Massage or Reflexology.
    I got a voucher, which I couldn't open.
Rang 0845 number & was told another one would be sent, that was Saturday.
    Still not recieved anything.
Probably not worth ringing again, as I will probably get a day out!
I did ask on 0845 number what I had been offered, as I said if it was not what I wanted I wouldn't bother to persue it, but she said she couldn't tell me.

It is the first of the month so they should have a new allocation of vouchers.

So I applied, and surprise surprise I got a Day Out Voucher
did you ring them up cause the guy said to me that as soon as the new allocation came out then he would send me one, will wait until the end of the week and take it from there, dont want to ring the number again and them profit from it
  • I applied the very same day that I got my new card, asked for

Firstly a facial or alternatively a manicure - what did I get? A blooming gym pass!!!

I wanted to be pampered, not to be pounding on a treadmill, what a con!

    Complete waste of time!

I am going to write and complain too, can someone tell me the address to write to Nectar?

I also asked for pamper treatments and got a day out! I'm not going to spend money on phone calls etc and I've just trashed it. Should have known it was too good to be true!

I had problems with TLC when I tried to book a 'free pamper treatment' from a gift voucher promotion from Boots a few months back. I requested a back massage first choice and indian head massage 2nd choice. About 2 1/2 months later TLC called me.... what a farce.... they said they only have reflexology or reiki in my area. I opted for the reflexology and he said he had to call them with a couple of my preferred dates and time then he would get back to me with what they have available. I asked it I could just cut out the middle man and call them myself to arrange an appointment, but NO, they have to act as a go between and waste everyones time in the process.

My relexology treatment was at a woman's home (not advised of this). She was lovely and the treatment was good but they do not get anything from TLC in return which is why most salons etc do not participate. From what she said it's just a way to build up clients. Well, I of course felt bad about this and ended up booking a Reiki treatment so then she at least got something out of it!

When I got the nectar thing through I could see it was through TLC so I opted straight for the day out as I can go to a small theme park locally. Ordered online and over a week later still nothing... called up and spoke to a woman who said they've had probs with their online bookings and did it for me... 2 weeks later still nothing. At this rate the theme park will be closed for the winter!

Interesting that several of the people who wanted a 'pamper day' have received a day out. I asked for a round of golf (with a golf lesson as second choice) and got a tanning voucher!!!

I wanted a facial or second choice was a manicure but was told neither was available and I got a free "day out". I don't want to go to Alton Towers, I wanted a bit of pampering. ]
  • This nectar treats thing has really wound me up. I dont normally bother with this kind of thing but the offer sounded good when it arrived this morning so I applied for a reflexology session - I neednt tell you what I actually received. Tried to go online and chat to one of their call centre people but kept being told my 'session has ended' before I got to speak to anyone. Cant be bothered to waste yet more time writing a letter but I hope this gets a lot of publicity - would Watchdog be interested? Nectar points deserves to be shamed for promising something it is unable (and probably never intended) to deliver.

I phoned up and said I wanted a pamper treat instead of a day out. I have just had a company phone me saying I could have a pamper treat the day normally costs 300 pounds it includes a make over for me & a friend using top brand cosmetics. Hair done by a top stylist and free drinks. They then asked for 49.99 as a registration fee and said I would have the money returned to me when I arrived. It was only held in London. It all sounded strange to me so I said I'd think about it. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Don't Do It!!!!!

There is a thread on the health and beauty forum about this company. It's a big con, and I doubt it's connected to Nectar. See here.
