I am sending a letter of complaint today.
I called last week to try to change by 'day out' for a pamper treat and the lady took my details and said someone would call me back ASAP.... STILL waiting..
Very disappointing, and bad customer service on Nectars part!I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

Yep I applied as soon as I got the card and wanted an Indian Head Massage and got a day out. Thats a really good treat fo me as I'm more or less housebound and can't travel very far. I can just see me on a rollercoaster lol. Bloomin con0

I'm gonna send a letter of complaint too. Has anyone actually got the treat they wanted?0

Not applied for any , but by the sounds of it , they should be calling it "Nectar Tricks" not treats !!0

This is the complaint letter i have sent Nectar. I have taken some extracts from this thread, I hope you guys don't mind me doing that, as I'm not that good at wording letters..lol
I will post back on here if I get any response.Dear Nectar,
I applied for my "treat" the very same day I received the offer in the post, with my new card. I wanted a ‘Pamper Treat’ of a back massage or second choice was a head massage, but was told via email that neither was available and I had got a free "day out".
I don't want to go to see a football stadium etc, I wanted a bit of pampering.
I called the number in the email stating “if you think it's unsuitable for you, please call the Treat Team on 0845 223 2 970* and we'll do our best to find you an alternative, and spoke to a lady who took my details and my choices and said somebody would call me back “as soon as possible”.
I am still waiting for this call.
Many other nectar card holders I know are in the same position as me and have been fobbed off with ‘a day out’…
This is all looking like a con to get people to spend money on phone calls to nectar, and at these ‘day out’ venues, after all you don't want to go on your own do you so at least one other person is paying the full entry fee.
I have noticed that this Nectar offer is managed by TLC Marketing - didn't they get into trouble with the BBC Watchdog programme recently for a misleading promotion?
I am very disappointed with this so called loyalty treat which I have seen advertised online and all around my local Sainsbury’s, and because of this my belief in Sainsbury’s as an ethical company has been seriously eroded.

I phoned up and said I wanted a pamper treat instead of a day out. I have just had a company phone me saying I could have a pamper treat the day normally costs 300 pounds it includes a make over for me & a friend using top brand cosmetics. Hair done by a top stylist and free drinks. They then asked for 49.99 as a registration fee and said I would have the money returned to me when I arrived. It was only held in London. It all sounded strange to me so I said I'd think about it. Has this happened to anyone else?2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sorry couldnt resist but I rang them up and said the voucher wasnt acceptable and the nectar guy said that they are allocated a set amount of vouchers each month and they have run out
It is the first of the month so they should have a new allocation of vouchers.
So I applied, and surprise surprise I got a Day Out Voucher :mad:0 -
i got my invite today and shredded it

I also applied for my "treat" the very same day I received the offer in the post. I wanted a facial or second choice was a manicure but was told neither was available and I got a free "day out". I don't want to go to Alton Towers, I wanted a bit of pampering. This is all looking like a con to get people to spend money at these venues, after all you don't want to go on your own do you so one person is paying the full entry fee.
Oh I would absolutely love a free day out at Alton Towers!!
The free days out are generally at places where an annual visitor pass costs less than a fiver! National Lawnmower museum anyone?0
