Well I asked for a tanning session and got a tanning session. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but perhaps being a bloke and having to go to a girlie salon was not one of my better decisions... :rotfl:0

DazCM - for some that would an idea of heaven!
I asked for Sports Massage or Back massage for 2nd choice and ended up with.. 1 week free at a gym in Waterloo. Not a bad alternative really. Though the point of the massage was to recover from exercising!! :rotfl:“We are not interested in the fact that the brain has the consistency of cold porridge.” - Alan Turing (1912-1954)0 -
I signed up for this weeks ago and havn't had an email or voucher or anything yet!! I was hoping for the portrait but i'm guessing I shouldn't hold my breath now.

I asked for portrait or second choice of day out and got a tanning session. But I could spend goodness knows how long phoning an 0845 number to try to change it!!0

Nectar is revamping its loyalty scheme and sending out new cards, as part of that it's offering a free treat to most Nectar cardholders.
You can choose from an adventure treat such as wakeboarding, clay pigeon shooting, days out or stadium tours or a pamper treat like a massage, facial, manicure or personal training session.
How to get your free treat
You need to be an active card holder, which it has defined as someone who has collected or spent Nectar points in the past few months; and the trigger is when you receive your new Nectar card, which should happen in the next 6 weeks.
Once you have this you can claim your free treat - so don't just put the card away and forget about it.
Why am I telling you if you'll get it anyway?
First of all Nectar is a massive scheme and a huge bulk of the nation have cards. Plus, how many of us actually open our e-mails from people like Nectar? Or bother to read the junk mail that comes with the new card? This is primarily a heads up to ensure that you don't miss out as its a seriously good freebie.
How to book
To claim your free treat , once you've got your new card, simply go to the Nectar treat site and choose what you fancy. Check to see if there is a venue near you, then click on 'claim your free treat voucher'. Fill in your details and you will be sent an email within the next 24 hrs - 7 days with the voucher (see the Ts & Cs)
If it has no vouchers available for your chosen activity they may send you something else similar. Contact the venue to book a time and take the voucher and your Nectar card with you. You need to claim your voucher by 29 February 2008 and it must be used by 31 August 2008.
Worried you might not get it.
In that case, the best thing to do is use the card (either to redeem or earn more points) as soon as possible; it doesn't have to be much. It's also worth checking your mailing address is up to date.
If you don't use your Nectar card much, dust it off now, use it on a small spend at Sainsbury's and you may still be able to get your treat.

Sorry couldnt resist but I rang them up and said the voucher wasnt acceptable and the nectar guy said that they are allocated a set amount of vouchers each month and they have run out but will take my details and send me a pamper voucher next month :j I then asked for a good will gesture as this was supposed to be free but yet I have had to pay for a phone call and he said I would have had to pay for a call anyways to have applied for the voucher, no I applied online  so he then asked me did I expect him to send me something for 8p for the 2 minute phone call and I said yes why not :rotfl: and for his cheekyness I told him to expect more phonecalls as this has been splashed accross the internet about them not giving out what they should do and he said he was well aware of it0

I also applied for my "treat" the very same day I received the offer in the post. I wanted a facial or second choice was a manicure but was told neither was available and I got a free "day out". I don't want to go to Alton Towers, I wanted a bit of pampering. This is all looking like a con to get people to spend money at these venues, after all you don't want to go on your own do you so one person is paying the full entry fee.0
