Xspender can you make a list of all the clothes you need between you and then research where to buy them most cheaply?

My DH is a clothes snob Bob but I have managed to talk him down to one new pair of L3vis ;) and I am going to do with out.

The tax rebate has been reduced due to me having a £141 tax bill! At least that will come of my annual allowance rather than paying up front.

I am a bit fed up with DH at the moment. He is not really pulling his weight at home and as we each work a similar number of hours I end up doing a FT job at home as well. He has also spent about £500 on himself this month what with one thing and another and we just can't afford it :( I am going to suggest we have a frugal November and spend nothing but the basics all month to get back on track.

    I haven't updated in a few days:

Budgets - Food spends are getting close to budget and I have about £50 next weekend but as I am away the following week this should be do-able. There is plenty in the family fun budget as DH couldn't get any time off and DS and I will just need a little for swimming and maybe a McD breakfast as a treat. Miscellaneous budget is over due to having to replace a piece of equipment I lost for work and some expenses which I will get back next month. Better than last few months though even with these expenses.

Exercise - ran twice this week and did 2 PT sessions

Getting Outside - not so good on this one during the week expect my two runs but did stand outside for 3 hours watching DS play rugby this morning

Learn Something New Have only done my press ups twice this week

Healthy Eating Doing better. I have been debating for some weeks about signing up to a healthy eating regime linked to the amount of activity I do as I do not think I am fuelling my body right. Today I have been offered a 15% discount and DH says I can have it for my Christmas gift so I am going to go for it. He has said he will do his own food as it is personalised to me so we will see what happens to the budget!

Lunch to Work DH has only bought lunch at work once this week and I have been WFH all week so nothing bought

    NSDs - I'm on about 3 I think

DH and DS have gone to watch Rugby this afternoon as were kindly offered a free ticket while I am doing absolutely nothing :rotfl: and ignoring the ironing, wallpaper stripping and bathroom cleaning :D

Very excited ferret dance here today. I have completed half of this months 'Learn' task.
I have, for the very first time in my life, carved a pumpkin for halloween.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
Second half of my learn task is to make a pumpkin pie with the left over guts. I've never tasted pumpkin either!

So far he has spent £43 on a PS4 game. He hasn't even claimed the refund yet! He will be waiting for me to do it for him ;)

Another sfd as I haven't been out, well only to put the bin out!!
Eaten lo soup and lo casserole from yesterday, so that was easy.
What I have been doing is making Xmas cushion covers, two are completed and all the felt is cut out for the other two so it's all coming along.
I've still got some Xmas presents to make but some of it is knitting and I have to buy the wool but they shouldn't take long.
So that's my day, hope everyone is OK October is nearly over.

Spent £15 today on panini and drink with sister and her OH. But things are going brilliantly for them as they bring home their newly adopted little boy on Monday week. So I will be doing a special ferrety Victory Dance in honour of all three of them!:j

x_raphael - lovely pumpkin, we did a very similar one last year and people were amazed by it.

seasidegal - what fab news, I hope the little one settles in well.

Yesterday was a SFD, me and DH did a 15 mile bike ride and then we took the kids and the dog on a 2 hour walk in the woods after lunch.

Today is spendy. Northern Rail overcharged me on a train fare in the summer and after much persistent complaining I got a free family rail voucher so we are going out on the train today and having lunch out. Lunch etc will come from the half term budget.

    Morning all,

Yesterday was very quiet but I did spend on chocolate so lost a SFD. I also got some ys gf wraps reduced from £2.99 for 4 to 69p :) I did a few jobs at home but also took two of the dogs to a local country park and parked 5 minutes away in a free parking spot I found the other week :) I Love walking them but as my other dog is a bit dog aggressive and can't walk very far, I often don't take them on long walks as I feel bad leaving the third one home alone. Anyway the last two days I've taken them on long countryside walks so feel a bit proud of myself.

Today should be a SFD. Need to do some school work :( and it's payday tomorrow :)

  • Morning all,

As I was a way for the weekend I didn't manage a NSD. Also I'm playing football tonight which means I'll spend £3 or £4 - damn!

Tomorrow should be a NSD though which I'll be happy for. Providing, that is, that I prep my lunch when I get home tonight.
