Everyone is doing fantastic - I don't expect you to do things for the challenge every day so don't feel you are letting the Turtles down.
As long as everyone tries their best that is all I want!!
So many people reporting in how tired they are, make sure you all take care and try to get enough sleep at night and relax when you can.
Yesterday was a NSD taking me to 4.
Today was a spend day as got DS' GF a birthday present and while I was at it got some shampoo/conditioner from Poundland as will run out tomorrow.
Was hoping not to spend tomorrow but we have no butter in and every household needs butter!!0 -
Evening all,
calling congratulations on your weight loss
SFD number 5 hereWorked another long day and extra tonight as usual. Its really back to work with a bump.
Nothing else to repetitive, managing to do 10,000 steps at school everyday this week, and then walk the dogs after. No gym classes this week as the instructor is on holiday.

Was really hoping for NSD today (Wednesday) but hubby said our shower switch went kaput so he had to go to bee n que to buy a replacement for £13.99 (in olden days we would have called an electrician in and would have cost us at least £60 just with the call out). Circumstances (ie our LBM and £49,000+ debt) forced us to learn new life skills like changing shower switches
so on my way to work I called in to Mr. T to womble receipts (the Receipt Hog is so greedy it keeps wanting to be fed, that's my excuse hahaha). I now have 145 coins, 1355 coins away from my first £5 payout. I wonder how long it will take me to get there. Maybe too long but who cares? It's fre money!
While I was in Mr. T, I saw a meat temperature probe on the reduced to clear shelf for only £1.75 and it's something I've always really wanted so it ended up coming with me to the check out counter. On my way there I passed by the magazine aisle and I remembered I haven't spent my own personal no-questions-asked allowance of £30 in my purse and thought of gifting myself 2 new sewing magazines with 4 sewing patterns. A bargain at £13. Add to the pile a bag of cashews and it summed up to £15. After paying I remembered having a £3 off for £15 coupon for Mr. T in the car, and when I asked the very nice gentlemen in the customer service desk, I just showed him the voucher and my receipt and he handed me £3. Result!
I did a bit of reading today and I thought I'd share with you a line which resonated with me:

Morning
7th September
Little spendy day. Just needed some top ups for store cupboard (tinned tomatoes etc) and some cooked chicken for son's sandwiches (reduced in Iceland and in now freezer).
Planned menus for next week. Shouldn't need to buy anything apart from veg and bread/milk.
Walked to shops and back. Too muggy and hot to go any further.
Tidied all my drawers in bedroom. Not allowed to touch anything in C's in case I throw out something important (like a pen with no ink or a broken mobile phone – you get the idea!)
Amazon selling 3 paperbacks for £10.00 so bought 6 for C for opening on Christmas morning (he reads constantly). If I'd paid full price would have been £54.00 instead of £20.00
Had a lovely long shower and started reading my next book.
Got another little item for my foodbank donation.
Have a good, not too tiring dayHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Good morning,
Don't think I checked in yesterday as I was called by DS school to pick him up. He fell running in the play ground and has a massive egg on the forehead, open wound and grazed knee. Luckily he didn't need stitches like his sister a week ago. Gosh, there is sth else every few weeks. Luckily they're both ok now.
So had an unexpected day at home and as I wanted DS to rest just in case his head is funny I got the grass cut, the house hoovered and the garden weeded etc. Also had time to posh up our fish dinner of cod with fennel and mash to pan-seared cod with fennel ragout and fondant potatoes.
NSD yesterday. Spend day today as I will visit the hairdresser at lunch time.
As it was a spend day anyway, I booked a few days away for the first week of October break. 3 nights in a cabin for the 4 of us for £229, bargain. Was meant to be booked out, then found one for £270 and then the last on for that price. Saved the money it'll cost us to go to the enchanted forrest.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
If anyone usually buys people bottles of spirits for Christmas, there is a '2 for £20' deal in Mr T's across lots of things like Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and Rum. I picked up 2 Whiskeys for my dad which will be from OH so he will give me the money for them. I plan on going back, for a mixture of presents and personal!
If you are lucky enough to also have a £3 off £20 shop voucher as well then you can make some serious savingsDebt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Hi everyone, just buzzing in.
So I was in the garden dead heading yesterday, I turned to grab a dead flower head and wham that's my back hurting like mad, anyway been resting and popping pills I hope it's more or less OK for Saturday as we're flying off on holiday.
Two more nsd so that's 4 now and it will remain like that until I get back from holidays because tomorrow I will need to get the last few things I need even if my back is hurting.
Anyway it's tea time so I'll go and eat

I love this quote - thanks apple! I've copied it to my diary"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Hi all,
Another tired teacher here - but this one doesn't work Fridays :j
Spends - another NSD today which makes 4/14. Yesterday we had some Mr T vouchers and a cheque for £50 cashback from Plu$net in the post which was nice!
Empty - 3 large sheets of insulation and a pile of offcuts have now left the building. Remembered to fill the garden bin which was collected today.
Exercise - Pilates and a 40 min dog walk yesterday evening. Will walk again tonight.
Reading - still plodding with this one. It's a big book and my time is limited!
What a week! My to-do list is looong but I'm out tomorrow and Sat so it will have to wait until Sunday.
It sounds like everyone's doing very well :T
