Today was payday. Tomorrow all the bills and regular savers accounts  (1x 5% 1x5.5% 1x6.5%) money goes out.  I had a £500 credit card bill due to the Ireland trip. So there is not much leftover when that money goes out.  Probably I have a budget of about £100  a week, but then again I don't need much this month. 
Maybe the PB fairy will bestow some bounty upon me this month. 
DH is off to 🇨🇦 next week so one less mouth to feed. 
DS4 is still dealing with the fallout from the AI scandal.  The kid is back from his exclusion and blames DS4 for him not being allowed a phone anymore. First day back he has threatened him. The school are involved and DS4 is not happy.

He is mostly miffed the school is not letting him out on the field at break times. He just wants to be mucking about with his friends, not writing up reports in the library.

I have opened yet another R/S at 5% so I have one that will pay out in January (6%), one in February (6.5%), and one in April (5%) next year.   That puts me at  £700 shunted to savings a month. That is enough. Any excess over and above this can be moved to the ISA from now on.

Budget:   £100 a week for May.

This morning I hit the 12's.  12.13 to be precise.  2 lbs to lose before I am not in the obese category.  That in itself is motivation, but it is amazing how much time you spend thinking about not eating! I hate dieting. It is somehow worse when you live with people who can eat your daily calorie allowance in one single meal and are still rake thin.  Men!

Today's jobs - energy meter readings - I am currently £488 in credit with them. Will see how much this bill is now we have used the heating maybe 4 times last month.

Nip in to the Community Fridge for free bread and fruit

Buy some more soil for my pots and screw my planter together and enjoy this sunshine while it lasts.  Long weekend coming up and so only volunteering once next week.  

 The house will have a deep clean, all floors, and bedding over the weekend.

In other news ....DH is off to Canada next week. 

Need to get the bathroom done ( on the list again, again, again, again - I have a phobia!)

Seeing you are off to do the bathrooms Foxholes, ages ago you posted a recipe for cleaning grout. I used it and it worked really well but have clearly saved it somewhere so safe I can’t find it again. Please could you post it again?

It is a simple paste of bleach and baking soda. Apply with a toothbrush, with no real care or attention,  then go and do something else. When you remember you were supposed to do something with it, wash it off, either with a shower head or a wet cloth. 
Keep windows open.

And in case anyone else is in a hard water area and has trouble with limescale discolouring the loo bowl ( bleugh 🤢) there is a black h4rpic in  £ land ( or duck, anyway the bottle is black).  Squirt, forget, wander back and with a very light brush it is all gone. Best product I have found, and remember that I live with 5 men. I know what I am talking about.
My auto correct changes squirt to squirrel .  Shows my priorities huh? 
I took advantage of it being sunny and have just built my planter. Cost £0. Used leftover wood the builders hid in a corner when they left, and all the long screws they left on the ground. Feeling exceptionally smug. Full disclosure, it is wonky. I do not care, I am going to fill it with dirt and water it, not eat my dinner off it.  Found a pack of courgette seeds, bb 2022 in a box of boxes of screws (?) so planted them all. It works or it doesn't,  either way it is no longer floating about the house popping up in weird places.  Something else used up. Yay!
