I have not applied to RM, but DS1 and 2 both have.

Lots went on this week, had DS3 on the phone in tears from Uni. I think we have just about straightened him out again. Was worried we were going to have to bring him home as he didn't seem to be coping, and his budgeting was dire - its only been 4 weeks! Poor love. Anyway, he seems calmer now, and wants to stay, so he stays, on the promise that he goes to all his lectures from now until Christmas. If he has learnt his lesson about money in the first 4 weeks, then it is a small price to pay, and hopefully it will stick with him. Muppet. Still terrified for him though. Nothing worse than a kid in tears on the phone. You imagine all sorts in those first couple of seconds. Still, it is all about growing up innit? I have aged 100 years this week.

    In summary:

I have applied for Invigilator jobs at the local college, bought a coffee table, which is actually a big mahogany chest/box, bought DS4 a new office chair (he trashed the last one), and panicked a lot. So now I need to diet again. That at least is something I CAN control.

At least DS3 sees you as a ’safe space’ that he can call. I just mooched miserably on, on my own …

The new coffee table sounds very useful 😊
