Sounds like Dr DH needs to revisit the scope of his paper and decide what will be the follow up! 😉
Can he do any prep for Canada before he goes camping so at least he knows the basics are done?
I’m feeling invested in his drama here …! 😂😉

He has decided to accept all the invites he gets (except those in America) to present his papers. He works best to a deadline. It does mean, like a small furry rodent evading capture, he launches from one stressful situation to another. It is intensely irritating to live with, as you are never sure what is actually a major drama, and what is an 'academic disaster'. Dieting does not help.Anyway, he is up in his study doing his thing and at some point he will bounce downstairs with an 'It is coming together, it is a mess, but it has a structure and I think I know where I am going with it'. But these things have a life of their own. This one keeps throwing a plot twist in, and the ideas will not follow a script and keep improvising their roles. It is perfectly normal for him to start writing one thing, and end up with 3 papers on something else completely. If it does not stop him going camping, it is obviously an 'academic disaster'.I am heading to the Community Fridge today. I will be walking. It is about a 4 1/2 mile round trip. That will put a tick in the box for exercise today.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Obviously had a good celebratory weekend planned. Their shopping was, 2 crates of lager (2 different brands) one large almost bucket of natural yoghurt, and a pregnancy test.Well done on the weight loss and keeping calm around all those men folk behaviours!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I went away for 30 hours and I now have seedlings! Beet have sprouted. Nasturtiums appeared, 4 inches tall overnight. Sweet pea shot up. Watered everything well.
I have sawed up a few lengths of wood to make another planter. Job half done!
Picked a few stalks of rhubarb and put them in the freezer to make a German style upside down cake when I have enough of them. Job half done.
Two loads of laundry dried on the line.
Kitchen cleaned.
Football watched.
DH returned
I fed everyone.
Tomorrow school starts again. 5 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 2 days off.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Miraculously I am down to 13.1 and keeping going. It is a miracle as this weekend I have been mostly fuelled by biscuits, and not punching someone in the head (metaphorical violence, physical biscuitry).Work was a sh*tsh0w. I was booked for crowd herding, and turned up to find out I had to set up and run a sales desk. I wonder who pulled out?..... Anyway, I'm putting through my hours at the enhanced level. If I am responsible for money and uploads/downloads then it is manager rate as far as I am concerned. Thank all the Gods I took my notebook (just in case) with all my codes in it . Otherwise it would have been a total nightmare. At the same time, I had to deal with a really tetchy photog who seemed determined to wind everyone else up and complain about everything. This job was obviously beneath him, in his eyes. So unprofessional. Not worked with him in about 18 months, hope not to again if that is his attitude. Anyway, it is money. It got done. The grads had no idea. The venue was delighted with us. The awarding body was happy with how everything was run.I have just shunted money to the kids accounts for school/college and had £10 in the bank until Wednesday so had to shuffle £50 from savings account. Boo! I had to fill my SIPP this month, so really I am doing well, and if I had not paid out for the work expenses I would have been totally fine. Short term blip.Came home to a sink full of washing up. DS3 said he had done it twice and the rest of them hadn't bothered and it was out of order. The penny drops with one of them!2 days til payday. Volunteering today once, not doing the continental shift anymore, it does not fit in with our schedule, got a snarl and an eye roll when I told them it no longer suited me to do it. I am a bl00dy volunteer! I owe them not one single thing and they need to remember that. I am doing them a favour, not the other way round. My favourite old man is on his holidays in a caravan in Skegness for the next week or two, he saw the weather forecast and thought s0d this! and he & Mrs Him have just gone. He is 85. He needs to enjoy himself while he can.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
