    Hi Everyone

I think I've only ever posted on this thread once before. But this is my 4th week off work with a broken wrist and have been reading everyday. Am really getting into the OS way, albeit one handed!

Twinks - your hob-nobs are very easy to make with one hand lol

Its amazing what I've managed to do since being off. Have sorted all my kitchen cupboards out - we moved in Feb and you know how it is, you put things in and think will re-arrange them when I know where I want them. Well we have known where we wanted them for sometime but work got in the way, now they are all done and neat and tidy.....errr not sure how long that will last though lol Have cooked double sometimes and now have meals in the freezer. Place is sparkling, got through 2 bottles stardrops already.

Using the BM is easy one handed too, but not so easy to do rolls, soooooo OH has learned to do them, he even took some in for his boss and wife and now she is buying a BM!

Not done so well today on cleaning and anything OS front as have pc probs (not the one im using for this) and have spent all day doing techie things.
I go back to fracture clinic nex monday, prob back to work on tues  not looking forward to that. Have enjoyed being at home and getting things done instead of mad rush round at weekends.

    Sorry for rambling on!!

    Afternoon all,

Have done one load of washing, picked, washed and eaten (some of) large salad from the garden, very pleased with the packet of salad mix we bought last time...think its mediterranean mix, its really nice and crisp and good variety. Also put some beetroot thinnings and radishes in salad...very pleased...just put dollop of hummous on top as a dressing and enjoyed the lot.

Happy birthday Purpleprincess :bdaycake: I think that you are still travelling but the wish is there for when you catch up

Sorry Shuffs that things have been stressful...depression is very tough, been there and still trying to get out the other side.

JackieO...you sound wonderful, good luck to DD

    PenPin...good luck to-morrow you won't feel a thing.

Ann....hugs for you and Phoebe, you should know the good news by now

Tooties...stop making me feel so inadequate...please

Aussie....lovely garden...pale skin is good, shows that you are keeping off the uvfs somehow

Frogga....I am on my way for some French onion soup, so make enough...little port really adds to the flavour, call it Suffolk soup if you like...whats in a name. Think that I read somewhere here that you can freeze chopped raw onions for later use...worth a try with a few when you have managed to acquire so many.

Haribo...hope that the lurgy slopes off soon

    Pooky....hugs

Redruby...hope that OH's wrist is better soon, bet it will be sore.

    Welcome back Jellycat.

Hugs to all in need, especially to those MIA, please come home soon.

DD4 is being assisted at the moment by DGSs1 & 2 to make a chocolate sponge and a victoria sponge...she admits to loving the craic she has with them on such occasions...ah to be young again!

Having fancy sausages, baked potatoes and salad for dinner...whenever the other 'shift' moves out of the kitchen

    Love,

    Marie

    Hi all,

just a quickie ~ I feel REALLY embarrassed that I've been slagging Ipswich off and some of you live near here too!!! I'm really sorry Squeeky , hope you're not offended! I can't mention Jimmy's Farm although it's REALLY close as I'm a veggie and don't want to advertise that! Yes, there are some very nice places in Ipswich , somewhere !

    :)

    Not at all :)

The first time I ever heard of Ipswich was when a commedian said...

"If God created the world in his own image - then Ipswich is where he'd put the enema"

Back then, he was right :) It's improved a bit over the years :)

Edit: Yes please to the onions ;)

  • Hullo all!!

Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday wishes, having a lovely day so far. Met my dad and brother for lunch today and then we pottered round town! Got some lovely cards and a few pressies, really have been spoiled.

Well, I'm back from travelling now :( but I have started something new and am not back at my awful council tax job!! :j I have now started back in full time education and started Monday and am loving it. I'm now on the journey to becoming a primary school teacher! :D

Saw a pair of shorts I wanted today and they were in the sale reduced from £28 to £14.99 and they had a slight imperfection so I asked for further discount and they gave it to me!! Cool!!! And got a few clinique samples for free too!!! :D

Only thing with being a student now is the huge leap down in income, got to be mega oldstyle now!! Just been spending this week trying to get back into a routine, not easy. I'm sure I'll get there and the debts are still going down, thankfully!!!

Hugs to all and I hope to be a bit more regular round these parts again
