Well, I'm slowly starting to feel better after a horrific beginning of the week - it's still blocked and draining, but I've actually had some sleep :j .
Well, I cooked up some BBQ chicken drumsticks - only problem was I had a bit of an accident with the allspice - they tasted mostly of cinamon  Going to use the chicken thighs today - thought I might try making a sorta fajita type taste - if anyone understands that lol. I also cooked the massive full chicken we bought yesterday - dad's going to carve that, and I'm gonna see how many dinners I can get out of this one - and make stock for the first time ever
Mum's due back home tomorrow, so I thought I might make a chicken and leek pie, with red cabbage and apple, found recipes last night, they don't look *that* difficult! Just trying to work out what to bake it in to be honest - I don't have a pie dish....
That's it for me - have a good day all x:cool: Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -

Right - I have done an hours ironing, all clean clothes ironed. DH has dusted lounge and is now hoovering through. I've also started tidying my bedroom - disaster zone from emptying caravan, should look better by end of today after this start.
Amie had problems getting onto the site yesterday and had to have her passwords re-set so may not have got her PM's

Good morning everyone :hello:
Happy Birthday Purple Princess
Redruby - your dinner sounds delicious
Glad to see you're back Frogga
Good luck Crazychik
DH is in the doghouse this morning - I made a lovely lamb stew and dumplings yesterday, DD and DH had it for tea - I went out with the girls for a curry - instead of being a good boy and putting what was left in the fridge - DH left it out and I've had to throw it away
On a brighter note DD went back to Brownies last night - and was made a Seconder  I am so proud
I managed to stick a load in the WM before I came to work this morning, so I need to stick it on the line when I get home. I also need to put another loaf in the BM as we're all out of bread. Will continue knitting my scarf tonight - as it's only knit stitch I find it quite therapeutic (sp?)
Got all my ironing done last night before I went out, but when the other loads dry there be more
I ordered Nigella Express (£9.99 from the Book People and free delivery) and it arrived yesterday morning (just as I was leaving for work  ) - when I got in I had a cup of tea and a quick flick through - some of the recipes look great
Anyway I'm rambling now - huge (((((hugs))))) all round.
Ooh - has anyone noticed the titles have changed above your stars - I'm a Money Saving Nerd now (lol!!)Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

There's a thread about it HERE in the Arms.0 -
I have moved house and had a job - then left it and now am a stay at home mum again. I am however trying to start my own eco home cleaning business.
Must get back to OS again as i miss all the folk on here and the satifaction that I got from implementing the ideas and stuff given on here.
I have not been well (depression) and that is why I could not stay in the job I was in - but I need to get well again and some of that is contacting people even by email!
My bankruptcy is over and I am discharged so we have no debt but money is tight - especially with one wage coming in.
Just rambling now so I will go.
Hugs to all
