Deposit paid, flights booked and paid for. Decided to go during the first week of my holidays, it means I will go away on the first day so I have time to get over it before I go back to work rather than being in work the day after I get back. Only now when I am looking at booking airport parking have I realised I may not get to go to bed the night before I go away...think I will have a chat at work and see if I can get off the last day as I need to leave my house around 4.30 am and may not be back from work until 1am
Now wondering what on earth I have done but I know I will enjoy it and hope to meet some like-minded people. This is what I have booked https://thebigblueswim.com/lefkada

I have had the quote through for all the electrical work that needs doing in my house, £1596.97. I am very impressed with this, especially as I have £3k set aside :j:money::j:money:

Having checked out the link you posted, just make sure you pay on your credit card so your payment is protected as they are not ABTA affiliates so your money and protection are not there through that route.

    Very precise quote for electrics!

Yup, remembered that after I paid the deposit on my debit card. Flights paid for with the credit card and will pay the balance on it too when the time comes.

When you put it like that :j:j:j
Wish I could say the same for getting a central heating quote. I put an ad up on one of these sites where people get in touch for your business and no one seems interested. Unsure whether to try a different one or see if I can get some recommendations.

  • My DB in the last half hour brought me a brochure for boilers.

My mum thinks its time to change her boiler, actually got her to stop the
insurance last year  as each year they said - "when that goes, the partswill not be available anymore - it's that old" I asked why on earth she was
paying for insurance then :( not cheap as the boiler is 30 years old :D
    and still going strong.

We are going to buy then just get a fitter.
I'm sure my mum got a quote for nearly £4000

You might need that holiday money - yet :(

Next on her list is a loft hatch and ladder :)
