Ah but it is cost versus value in this case - and the value is to your health, personal well-being, rest, relaxation and revive. Versus £1500 cost. No contest - go for it.

I was hoping you guys would talk me out of it based on the cost...

Agree with SH & SJ, may seem rather expensive, but break it down into a monthly cost, and
    consider it from there.

:) Just my way, I always break down large bills/expenditure into a monthly/weekly amount, then it doesn't seem too expensive. :D but do always wonder - what else could I do with "this" money.

When reducing my hours, spent far too much time concentrating on what I would "lose" salary wise
so broke it down to a monthly, then weekly amount, as soon as I done that, decision was made, as it
didn't seem that much at all. :j

Over £200 a day for the holiday and not all meals are included in that!!!

In all honesty I am quite looking forward to the idea of swimming every day and I have to remember that holidays are more expensive now because of travelling alone so I can't get the bargains I did.

There is a swimming holiday I would love to go on but not sure I can justify the price. it is about £1430 for a week and I would still need to pay for lunches and dinners and drinks in the evening. While it would be an amazing experience this seems crazy. Guess I need to go back to the drawing board.

I agree with everyone else, do it, make memories don't regret it when you are old

£24.11 payment from £co transferred to ISA. I have also updated my spreadsheet with all my updated figures so it is current. I am debating opening another current account to use for spending (food shopping and fuel) or just using my credit card. I figure it may be easier to stick to a budget with the current account but there are benefits to using the credit card. Next jobs (in no particular order), price up this holiday properly and see where my food and fuel spends have got to this month to see if my budget for them is realistic enough.

Form filled in for the swimming holiday, just waiting for the email to pay the deposit and then I can look at booking the flights.

Glad you are booking the swimming holiday. You sound over-disciplined sometimes. It is good to make time for fun and enjoyment too - and swimming means a lot to you.
