It is very frosty out this morning, it is going to make for a chilly swim, good things the cafe is open to warm up afterwards.

I was planning to do a short burst in the garden later, it is only cutting shrubs back but it might depend if the frost disappears first. I am hopeful to get a fair amount done around the house today but I have a strict limit of stopping at 7 tonight so essential stuff first and then see where I get.

I am really itching to put more money into my savings or mortgage but my main aim this year is not to rais my savings as much so once it is in it stays in unless it is for a specific thing. This means sensibly I have to wait until the end of the month :( as a bonus I don't need to but much in my food shop so it is all helping towards my end goal.

How long should I keep different bits of paperwork for? I know the general rule of thumb is 6 years but what about if they are for a house or car I no longer own...:rotfl::rotfl: I have been quite bad at keeping on top of this but I am going to do a small amount each time I sit in front of the tv (I can't watch tv without doing anything) until it is all sorted.

This is very true. Someone asked me how regularly I cleared my emails and what I kept, my answer was every day nothing I didn't need anymore. I am going to start this today!

I have - it depends what you do. I was able to find some legal advice that others had discarded - it depends what you do. Also, we were not able to call on the policy numbers when we tried to claim PPI and received nada

There is a swimming holiday I would love to go on but not sure I can justify the price. it is about £1430 for a week and I would still need to pay for lunches and dinners and drinks in the evening. While it would be an amazing experience this seems crazy. Guess I need to go back to the drawing board.

I'd say - if you want to go for it. You seem to get so much enjoyment from swimming and are so disciplined in so many areas of your life
