You are all such busy bees. Hope new job goes well Bob.

Passed tax inspection today phew so still in a job. Munching mint crumbles as a celebration.

Been really naughty today and bought some work clothes in the sales. Everything seems to wear out so quickly lately or I am wearing the same clothes a lot as can't fit into others!

Starting to get back on the straight and narrow from tomorrow aim for a few SFD.

Off home to have a glass of wine, bottle open and didn't like to drink after near fainting episode on Monday - ran up 3 flights of stairs to office after giving blood. Stupid me horrid sensation. Won't do scampering next time.

    Keep going folks x

I sold a spare wheel for a car we no longer have today, I put it on Gumtree at the weekend so no fees either, the wheel was brand new and we bought it from a neighbour for £40, we never used it and sold it for £65 - very pleased. The money will go into the car expenses account.

I bought a hand knitted cardigan/jacket today in a CS, it is very lovely but quite expensive by my CS standards at £8 but for all the work that has gone into it I am happy with it, I just need to replace the two buttons with something I like rather than the ones currently on.

    Awesome profit Dolly

Calling I emailed Next today as the 2 long sleeved ts I bought on the 3rd of August have been pony. Both stretched both baggy and look dreadful. A cotton top should last for months not days! So I agree a lot of clothing isnt fit for purpose these days.

Bob - Next is no better quality than Primark etc imo nowadays but they charge more money (M&S are the same) I have things I bought from Next years and years ago which are still going strong but newer items are rubbish.

Totally agree I had a part time job over xmas period in M & S one yr and was shocked how bad the quality of their items had gone. Looked recently at getting a duvet covet from them but the reviews were shocking bubbled up after one wash!

    Congrats on your sale Dolly.

  • Collected my NSD for yesterday however not today. £5 lunch knocked me. It was one of those days and my usual shake wasn't going to cut it.

The bright side is that it's a low spend day and I won't spend further tonight.

Tomorrow is a long event day at work, so that means guaranteed no spend, YAY!! Maybe there is an upside to working 15 hour shifts.

Me and the kids nipped out in the rain this afternoon and had a peruse around the charity shops in one of the two small towns that we live in between. We got 3 short sleeved t shirts for DS all with prints on the front that he really liked, a denim jacket for DD (her current one is very small and she wears it loads) and a pair of snow wash jeans for her too, all for £5.98. Very pleased overall.

I worked a bit this morning so this afternoon we decided to go swimming. Bit of a drama as although they told us the baby pool was closed so we knew to expect that, the main pool was heaving and there was no way I could safely enter the water with DD. So after the sweaty hideousness that is changing for the pool I just had to come out having had no cooling lovely swim and get both of us dressed again. Grim doesnt cover it. Fortunately DH could stay in with DS or there would have been murders.

So I asked for a refund and although I only asked for myself they insisted on giving the full cost of the season back for me and the OH.

I did find 2p in the changing rooms though :)
