    How did I do?

On food: not by deprivation but by replacing one ‘baddie’ with a ‘goodie’.…
I'm vegan so I get about 10 of my 5 a day and don't have a sweet tooth. I think I should try to have breakfast every day as I'm terrible for leaving it until lunchtime.

on wants v needs: each time you don’t buy a ‘want’ keep a tally of money!not!spent and add it all up at the end...
this is a good idea though it's hard to know what I would have bought as I can be quite impulsive when I'm hypermanic but I'll give it a go

on exercise: make a plan and carry it out. Focus and make it count.…
I'm doing a LOT of walking atm to try and get my fitness up. I need to start pilates again as I'm hyper mobile and this helps prevent muscle pulling and dislocations. Aiming for 2x this month if budget allows.

on screen time: just 1 hour per day for leisure.
my work and leisure are intertwined with my being an illustrator but I think I can challenge myself to no more than an hour of FB

… in relationships: reduce time you have to spend with toxic people, those that drain you; nourish the good relationships and put time and effort in to them.… trying to spend more time with my meet up group. Will try to create free/cheeper meet up plans this month

...spending: this links to wants v needs. 15 NSD please.… Did 13 NSDs in July. Would like to hit 16 in August.

in health: we all have niggles (the older we are, the more we have!) Be proactive about them....
see above for pilates. Also I need to check my mental health with my GP and psychiatrist to see if my Bipolar meds are adjusted correctly.
in possessions: we usually have far too much stuff that clutters up our physical asurrounding and our mental state. Look at this objectively: if you do not love the item and find joy in it, then let it go!
I aim to sell sell sell what I can ans charity shop the rest

    :) It's exciting starting a new challenge, isn't it?

For the first half of the month I did really well. I ate breakfast about 2/3 of the time which has gotten me into the habit now. :)

    I managed 12 NSDs :)

I managed most of the month without alcohol (I had a wobble -few g&ts - mid month when I lost my job. Then decided that the month of sobriety ended on payday 27th :P )

Wants vs needs is a bit difficult to tally up so I'll tally up what I saved in drinks out £48! Seriously! That's a lot of money on booze from the odd bottle at home, a glass or 2 with meals out, few drinks at pub quiz, meet ups etc.

I didn't manage to get to pilates this month due to loosing my job at the end of week 2 and staying home all week from week 3 after my cat got hit by a car... poor + sad = unmotivated me.

Fb app has been deleted from my mobile so I'm not checking notifications every 10 seconds. I have to to the effort of logging on now which has probably got me down to an average of 2 hours a day. Progress still!

My mental health has been all over the place. I'm waiting for a cbt appt and I've got some more meds to get me back on track. Job loss and cat trauma didn't help.
I spent more time with my new friends and even had a cheeky party on sat where everyone put towards cocktails and mocktails and we played games. Which has made me feel better.

In my stay home nursing cat I had a week lobg ckear out and room by toom decluttered tge whole house. Today I'm dropping off the charity shop bits so that will clear space and I'll familiarise myself with ebay as I've a few bits to sell that are a bit better than carbooting.

    Hoping for a better September!

  • (((mothernerd))) - sending hugs. Well done for getting through August with everything that has been going on. I am so pleased that the party you organised was well received.
Relatives of any description can often be a hindrance rather than a help - I don't know how you keep quiet!!

evkizzy - well done for getting through the month with all that life threw at you.

Here's to a better September for everyone.
