    Evening All,

I'm back , and by popular demand!:j Have you missed me? Oooo you big fibbers!

Right , lets get this out of the way and then say no more about it ~

Thanks for all the PM's after yesterday's Hissy fit , I've never felt so popular, what a lovely virtual family you are ( thank goodness I don't have to buy for you all at Christmas though! :rotfl: )
From now on I'll be more discreat about the "you know what" and just keep to the point of the thread I promise. All the members of "you know what" can all PM me and we'll give each other support that way. Perhaps we could just do a really quick ever so tiny mention of our progress on weigh day:T

Have chatted to Penelope Penguin and we have cleared up any missunderstanding and are now the best of friends, in fact she is comming to stay for a week next June ( not really!)
So we'll say no more about it and I apologise for being such a touchy sod. I've got too many friends on here to hop away and leave. Odds you'd better come back now too!!

Right, my o/s day consisted of loads of things you'll be proud of:

Cleaned the whole lillypad with bicarb and vinegar
Made jam then sold half of it to pay for Christmas pressies
Spent £3.50 in Tesco for food that will last 6 months
Picked, Baked, Froze and sold on ebay!:rotfl:
Actually that is all a big fat fib !:rotfl: , Don't take offence guys I'm only teasing!

I'll hop off now before I get into trouble!
Oh, by the way , sorry to hear about your worries at the dentist Pen Pin, I can't sympathise as frogs don't have teeth xxx

Just want to say thanks for the PM's in response I have sent to some of you. Let's get back on an even keel.

MrsMac - things are still a bit pearshaped with Mum here as we thought would be out by now. If you are anxious, book a flight home. Just to reassure.

    Love to all GB xxxx

    Hi everyone,

Frogga , it's good to see you posting again....hopefully the others will follow suit.
Penny Pincher, what rotten luck to have to have dental surgery on your birthday.
Mrs Macawber, I'm glad your mum is ok.
Haribo, thankyou for making me smile on the phone tonight...I really wish we lived closer to each other.

Sorry if I've forgotten to mention anything else important...I'm shattered! I've had a horrible day and didn't manage to make the biscuits as planned. :(

I'm ashamed to say that instead I spent the afternoon ranting at ds2......he's having difficulty settling back to homework which has increased big time this year, and I am not the most patient of people at the best of times. Now he's asleep, and I just feel guilty and tearful.

Oh well, tomorrow can only be better.

    Take care and sleep well,

    Pink

Evening all. Am feeling really lazy tonight - got a tiny bit behind at about 7pm and then just threw in the towel - I know what the cause is - i have left my phone at work (I hope) and am feeling lost without it. the worst thing is that it is my alarm clock as well so i'm not sure how I'm going to get up on time tomorrow. Any one fancy coming round to wake me up with a nice cup of tea at 6am?

the climate change seminar was amazing! it was all about gaia theory which treats the earth as a living organism - bit scary in parts but I am newly galvanised and will be trying even harder at home and w*rk to do my bit. i am on the sustainable development comittee which is only really concerned with saving money but we have a meeting on friday and i am really going to fight my corner even if it costs them a bit.
When I got to the after school club dd's best friend was stil lthere so I told them that she had asked me to pick her up - the mum's newly single and is often a bit late and they charge £1 a minute if you're late. I waited outside the school for Mum (only five minutes but would have cost her a fiver). She was really grateful so we have formalised the arrangement and she will do the same for me. It feels really nice actually as i don't really have many friends outside w*rk
aren't kids funny when you get "old". My eldest dd's don't live with me but I have to phone them when I get in on the rare occasions that I go out or they wait up. I have lied to them on a number of occasions so they could go to bed :)

Anyway I'm rambling ... so hugs to everyone who's got family and money worries and congrats to all the birthday girls and boys
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

So pleased to see you back Frogga, I personally rather see your weight loss challenge on OS rather than some of the non os stuff I read, I have children but I was getting fedup of reading in the summer holidays of some posters saying they were going to M & S for school uniform (not very OS that!). their I have said it, I don't post on the daily thread cause I have been reading this thread for a couple of years now and I can recall at least two incidents like we had yesterday, and we have lost some good people - ticklemouse, Kaz, Moggins, to name a few. if people don't want to read about WEIGHTLOSS CHALLENGE then press the ignore button - simple, life is too short. I wish you all luck on the challenge.

Catowen, I hope you are ok, I do hope you will continue to post.

As for what I have done today as regards to OS, very little, I have been laying in the garden flattening the grass, it saves me mowing it:D

Hi all its only me:rotfl: Mrs Mcawber your Mum sounds as though she is of my generation. We just get on with things, and what we can't change we tend to ignore.:j

Grannybroon I hope your Mum gets better soon as it must be a worry for all your family
PenPincher If you go to Kings then you have probably had your Xrays done by one of my nephews, he works there as a radiographer.Being sedated is a doddle really as you are only out for a couple of minutes really. My dentist used to be by the Crook Log in Welling when I lived in Barnehurst and he always knocked me out as I hate being awake for an extraction, but it did cost me an arm and a leg, but it was well worth it. A good nap in the afternoon and hopefully you will feel so much better afterwards once the blessed things have gone .They are a nuisance when we get thenm as babies and even more trouble when they get taken away when we are older .
Nelski how can you knock back the vino with a fried egg:eek:

I had a fairly good day today, and all my washing is dry and on the airer,I must admit I am now folding things more to go in the airing cupboard rather than bothering about ironing them.My pal did all my ironing for me yesterday so it was only tea towels and bathtowels today

My grandson had a lovely fry-up love him, and was fairly circumspect as I was paying.I have to pick him up tomorrow as well so thats blown the strict budget this week.He is such a tonic though its woth every penny.:D

I am off to East Grinstead tomorrow with my eldest DD as she gets the results from her mole removal that she had done 4 weeks ago.

She popped in tonight with a present for me It was a litter-picker , the sort you see chaps using in the parks with a pair of Pinchers on the end so I don't have to bend to pick things up, and I can reach things down from the cupboard without standing on a chair (not a good idea with my wobbly joints ,especially at the moment ) Brilliant present as I have been getting very grumpy, as I am right-handed and keep dropping things as I have to use my left hand .She comes up with the most amazing ideas for her old Mum bless her
Well time I toddled off and had a wee read in bed before I go to sleep. Take care everyone and have a peaceful night and I'll see you all in the morning
    Night,Night God Bless

JackieO...good to hear that you are feeling better...grandson's can be a drain on the pocket I agree but SO worth it...I am lucky enough to see mine most days.

MrsMCawber...glad to hear that your poor OLD mum is ok but I agree with whoever (Granny Broon?) said that if you are anxious you should come and see her...many years ago my mother was in a coma following a car crash and I used to get up in the middle of the night sometimes and just go look at her to make sure she was still breathing...have felt thankful to hospital who allowed me go in in the middle of the night, I never did anything except look at her for a few minutes and go again. I know that your mother is not in the same danger, but if you need to satisfy yourself...do.

Disappointed that only Frogga came back to-night, hope that I haven't put anybody off by my posts...sorry if I have. My base thought is that we all gain from the contact here, apart from OS, I feel that I have made so many friends since joining in February...please think about it, I am just a mad old woman who would like to talk to you all and hear from you too.

    Night all
