LOL, shudder to think if they call Liverpool a main city centre :rotfl::rotfl:

Idiot. It's the 4th biggest city in the UK and has more millionaires than Northern Ireland. Welcome to the year 2009.

Whats deemed as being the 2nd largest city? Birmingham or Manchester :D

Neither mate - Leeds (well i've got a place just outside Leeds)....

But technically I do not class London as being a city, after all it actually consists of various boroughs therefore Birmingham is No1 and Leeds No2 in my opinion.

Officially though, I live in 1st and 3rd. But still, much bigger than scouse-land whatever way you look at it :D:D

    City - Population
    London -7.2 Million
    Birmingham - 992000
    Leeds - 720000
    Glasgow - 560000
    Sheffield - 512000
    Bradford - 467000
    Edinburgh - 450000
    Liverpool - 440000

This reminds me of an old joke.

When asked which should be classed as the UK's second most important city the Brummie said "Birmingham", the Manc said "Manchester". The scouser thought about it for a while and said "London". :D

Back on topic....HSBC in Bolton has a coin machine that I use to pay into my FD account.

Never-in-doubt, I seriously doubt those figures you posted. How can a list of the top 8 cities not have Manchester in it? I would say that they would be fighting it out with Glasgow to see who was the 3rd biggest city in the UK (after London and Birmingham)

p.s.London isn't a city lol, so should in essence be excluded from the list as it is several boroughs :D lol

Totally off topic but London is a city, though not a borough.. - though its not the one that most think about when they say 'London'
