Well, I went into the Liverpool One branch of HSBC in Liverpool CITY CENTRE  today and it has a 'Wealth Management Suite'!!

Anyway, back to the main point of the thread:D. It does have a coin machine. It's on the ground floor and it's very easy to use. You put your card into the machine (I'm with FD),put all the coin into the tray at the top, tip it all in then press 'Start' . As the coins are feeding through, it shows you how much of each denomination is being processed and keeps a running total. At the end, it runs a check to make sure that no coins are lodged in the machine, and prompts you to check the reject coins tray below (I found 2 euros in it that I certainly hadn't put in!!). You can ask for a payment slip, and the printout shows exactly what you have paid in of each coin type, and it's credited immediately to your current account (as long as it's before 4pm of course).

    Hi,
    I'm in Romford, Essex.

Anybody know the closest branch to me with one of these machines?

I'm pretty sure the 2 branches near me dont have them.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Many thanks

Natwest has one, but ate my 3 pounds. The staff couldn't figure out what went wrong, and took my phone number and said they would call me as soon as they find out more information. That's probably the last time I'm using that thing.

I use hsbc now after using a machine in morrisons with my daughter, she was so upset when afterwards she realised she didnt get all the money back.

Now we use hsbc over the counter they happily exchange our full bags of coins.
