Once they meet all of the required criteria, I'm all for them joining.
Agreed 100%. But given the direction they are going with human rights, this could take quite a long time!I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
I genuinely don't think it'll ever happen.0

Every Brexit voter in the country should be forced to read this.

But close to zero of them will.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

The whole world will have to move to a globalised model of government eventually. Won't be in the next couple of hundred years. It would require a resource based economy too rather than monetary. Basically see - Star Trek, won't happen for hundreds of years. The idea's right though. Sadly the people in power today aren't doing a great job right now and the UN is lame. The rich countries of the world continue to dominate the weak and poor, as long as the rich are rich and powerful they will want to remain that way. Interestingly the Star Trek world government came after a massive conflict that nearly wiped out all life on Earth. Gene was probably right about that.0 -

No, because pretty much all of them made their decision and are now getting on with their lives without feeling the need to constantly go back over the campaign and who said what.
Of course people who didn't like or can't accept the result will feel the need to permanently replay things just to give themselves a big cuddle.0 -

Well, clearly no choice but to accept it, and it's obvious that those with the various combinations of youth, education, employment and openness to other cultures don't like it.
But what we need to do now is salvage what we can, to try and limit the negatives that will flow from this decision, and even to see if we can find new positives.
It really won't be easy, particularly given "Team Brexit" that are on the job.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Uncanny as the way that Star Trek flew a slightly-socialist world free from nation states past an audience who would gave freaked if you'd suggested it was possible/inevitable was on my mind as I read the article.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. no flowering of science and philosophy,
no democracy
no Italian city states,
no western european renassaince
no industrial revolution
just slavery and poverty for the masses all ruled by a warlord class0 -

Well them's the breaks.
True, and it's clearly those very demographics and areas that voted Leave that will be the most damaged and broken by the fall out.
On one level - a rational and reasonable one - I feel a bit sorry for those people. On another one, I guess the word "schadenfreude" exists for a reason.
I'm currently watching a new article about the massive rise in racist hate crime since the referendum. This is pushing me more and more towards the latter way of thinking.
