Hello everyone. Can I join the club. Ordered the Garnacha wine last Thursday, had the email yesterday confirming that the wine would be delivered Wednesday and got the dreaded telephone call at 10-04 today. Very polite lady telling me due to overwhelming demand they have no stock and there is no replacement planned. Congrats to all those who were lucky enough to get in early. Thanks to OP for flagging it up.

Some luck for me I guess, the Chilean merlot was delivered as the Grenache was out of stock but they also deducted the £10 voucher so all in all it was £12!

Having worked for Tesco and being aware of their stock check procedures I find it VERY difficult to believe that they would stop advertising the product on their website, then start again (several times over) without knowing that they had the stock !
I too had the email confirming delivery (emailed yesterday) and have just had the dreaded phone call to say it's out of stock and it apparently is going to be a discontinued line (I asked for a raincheck) that was on promotion to clear up remaining stock.
Will soon find out as I still have many friends in Tesco (including several of the senior team at the Brackmills warehouse in Northampton where the wine is kept).

uuummmm I was due to have this delivered this morning..but no delivery
Apparently they left a message on my answerphone apologising and saying it was out of stock.

Got my Frascati & Chilean red today - obviously the slightly dearer wines still available - big swiz for bargain hunters though.
Still saved so a happy bunny:T

Yes. It is not fair under UTCCR for cancellation terms to be as one-sided as this IMHO.

Good point we need to close this thread and move on to the more relevant discussion as to whats happened .

Tesco T&Cs concerning delivery are not a valid excuse.

Tesco have know since day one they had very limited stock, if they didn't then why not?
Anyway in my case and nearly everyone elses they have sent confirmation of order and then delivery emails.
The last one recieved 15hrs b4 delivery requesting I make arrangements for an 18+year old to be available, this was done.

At this time and progression of the order It would be reasonable in court for me to assume a contract had been made between me and Tesco.

To cancel at the last min, 8hrs b4 delivery is not acceptable as I have made arrangements as specifically requested and incurred expense.
If it transpires that they knew all along they had no stock but allowed the delivery process to continue then Tesco are culpable to a compensation claim due to negligence.

Its obvious only a few people are gonna get 12 bottles for £12ish
