Sorry for shouting everyone but i am still peeved at the abrupt way TESCO have dealt with this whole thing.

My order is still showing as complete, due for delivery on Mon 24th, but I've just had The Call from Darren to say it's out of stock and 'should not have been showing as available'. When I asked if they would offer an alternative, I was told that no alterations can ever be made to a wine order!

How many bottles do we think they ever had in the warehouse? A couple of dozen? What a shambles!

Sadly i have also just had the dreaded but expected call.
No wine for me tomorrow although Asda are selling instore some easily drinkable wine at £2 per bottle. Might just get another doz of these!!:beer:

:cool: Interesting that they have changed their terms for wine - when several of us had similar problems I think about 18 months ago, their conditions stated that they would substitute similar wine for any out of stock - they don't even do that now...

I got the "Your wine will be delivered this week" email earlier today, and then a phonecall over what seemed to be the worst VOIP phone system I've ever heard. It seems rather farcical that a customer receives an order confirmation email and then a cancellation phone call within an hour !

Does anyone fancy starting a Facebook group - "Disgrunted Tesco winos" perhaps - for us all to vent our displeasure?

My Mum got her phone call earlier today and I'm expecting mine any time now, though will obviously be tomorrow now. Gutted.

Hi - Well, thanks to this thread I have now emailed Tim Mason with a "Disgruntled" type email. Will let you know if, and when, I get any response. Meantime, I am losing my broad band connection for a few days while I change telephone numbers so I suppose any response may get lost in cyberspace!

Mine was due Saturday too, and I've literally just had the phonecall.

Can still get case of 12 wines for £18 delivered though, which seriously ain't bad (they promised me re-use of the code if I wait until tomorrow).
