12x 75cl Bottles of Tesco Red Wine £12.32 DELIVERED! UPDATE: BACK IN STOCK!

I've had experiences with companies a fraction the size of Tesco and making far less than £6 Billion profit a year or whatever it is, and they have honoured their mistakes and ensured customer satisfaction.
Still I suppose you don't get to be as big and as powerfull as Tesco without screwing a few people over.
I'm just another customer .....absolutely and utterly fed up with them:mad:
It would be nice to think some of the bargains that Tesco offer were offset against some of the vast profits they made, and perhaps they could have done this in this case.
BUT PLEASE REMEMBER any bargains you may get from Tesco are probably not as a result of them forgoing some of their vast profits ....its probably becuase they have shafted the suppliers of the goods who will then be the real forgotten loosers.0 -
I recieved a message on answer service to say Simple Garnacha out of stock and as it is a discontinued line it will not be coming back in stock, but my cheap case of sherry will be delivered if I do not wish to cancel order.
Shall I have this delivered and hope they still apply the code?
Any ideas please0 -
...........Yeah butty .....drown your, and the rest of our sorrows.....enjoy!0

Any of this of use? Obviously you may need to alter the 100% failure comment but feel free to plunder anything else. I also copied and pasted the orginal cancellation email to provided info for any backtracking they needed.
Hope they have some moral courage and business sense over this debacle.
COMPLAIN. COMPLAIN.COMPLAIN!
Text follows;
Attention; Tim Mason.
Here follows the text of a cancellation which I received today. This is the second time that this has occurred which gives your organisation a 100% failure record, as I ordered it twice over several days to allow restocking time.
This product was in stock at the time of ordering on both occasions and I was greatly disappointed that TESCO did not even try to offer me a revised delivery date nor even a suitably priced alternative/compensatory deal. Added to which the few points which were offered with the deal were not honoured.
It is not acceptable to claim that your terms and conditions only apply to time of delivery, if you shop online you expect the same standards as provided by any high street shop or each of your more customer focussed competitors.
This may not be a lot of business to you but the knock on effect of this let down applied across the numbers who applied for the same deal will surely be considerable.
TESCO's lack of interest in honouring this deal mean that I will not be as interested in purchasing any of your products online if there is no guarantee that the contract will be honoured.
I would be grateful for your reply.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

Same deal here, phone call received on the evening before delivery was due, but since I wasn't in it was left on my voicemail... poo... I think I'll send a letter of complaint too....0

I too had the dreaded phone call - said that it was discontinued but I have until end of November to re-use the voucher.0

Had the phonecall - had resigned myself to this anyway.
Well at least I'm not stuck in the house on Saturday....0 -

Have a damn good complain to them. They cant come up with these e-marketing deals and then pull out because it suits them. Its only by telling these fat cats that we are unhappy that any action will be taken.
For what its worth - all of my friends, relatives and business contacts have been directed to this site and all have given Martin the thumbs up and Tescos online shopping the BIG thumbs down.
COMPLAIN. COMPLAIN. COMPLAIN.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

had a phone call today from Russel - Red out of stock lol, but I can still have the white ordered and the £10 discount so am getting 6 bottles of white for £12 which I'm happy with.
xxThe curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0 -
Do what I have done & get your own back on tesco
Everyone has been told that if you order more wine of your choice they will cedit £10 back to your account by way of an apology as you cant use the voucher any longer - correct? Well order your wine, through Quidco ofcourse and use a code for 1000 extra points, no minimum spend as far as I can see (posted in voucher section - tesco codes sticky) then call for your £10 credit. Sounds like a bargain to me :j I can't see any problems with this plan as I doubt the call centre people will notice. I will update if sucssful in the morning.
:j :j0
